ADDICTEDTOQUACK's SparkPeople Blog ADDICTEDTOQUACK's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Day Tres Today was a bit hectic......

I woke up around 9 after going to bed after midnight. For breakfast, I ate a scrambled egg omlette with two eggs, two egg whites and peppers and vegetables; with 3 slices of bacon. Oh so good with herbs and garlic. You can never go wrong with garlic. (Maybe that is why I am single, because I have garlic breath... lol)

I was training a new girl at work today and so my day was all off because it was taking longer to train. And of course it... Wed, 30 Jan 2013 02:09:00 EST Day 2 - a little different So yesterday, I worked at double at the bar. I had lunch and dinner already packed and ready to go for when I was hungry.

So I had a personal training in the AM, and for a qucik pick me up; I had a tablespoon of almond butter (sweet and salty, it was great) with a banana.
Afterwards, I wasn't that hungry so I didn't force myself to eat and ate about an hour later. I had the crustless quiche, but added asparagus with chopped bacon and garlic. That side dish was amazing! I ... Tue, 29 Jan 2013 12:58:43 EST Going Paleo Day 1 So day 1 started off okay. I kinda dipped this morning (like 1 am this morning) by eating a bit of buicuts and gravy from Shari's after dancing and a couple of drinks. (but hey, I wore my heart rate monitor and I burned 1600 calories dancing for three hours).

But starting off Sunday, I had the a serving of the crustless quiche I made with carrots and zucchini with two slices of bacon at 10 am when I was getting ready for work.

I started to get hungry at 1 pm. I dran... Sun, 27 Jan 2013 23:50:37 EST Paleo paleo paleo So tomorrow (my work Monday) I am starting the Paleo diet. I had briefly heard of it in the past, but it really peaked my interest a couple of weeks ago when I went out on a date with a man who had been on the Paleo diet for about 20 years. What made me shocked was that he was 42 but looked 33! He said he owes it to his diet and exercise. So i figured why not? I love meat and most veggies.

So i bought Practical Paleo and started reading. A lot of it made sense and some didn't... Sat, 26 Jan 2013 19:58:16 EST Alllright... Start a-new Sooooo It's been a while since I have used SparkPeople and it has not been good. I ran my second half marathon on August 5th. After that, I stopped training and no motivation (because I had no more external motivation) my appetite was the same and I kept eating the many calories I was while I was training. The weight just hopped back on. :-( I am at about the same when I started training earlier in the year.

Also later in August, I was going through a life change. I didn't g... Sun, 18 Nov 2012 23:53:49 EST Plateau?? So I have been wavering around this weight for almost a month. I was about 167 at the end of May and have roller coastered since then. To lose weight, I have to drastically change my diet and that works for a few day but then I succumb to sweet temptations (in the form of carbohydrates) and then the extra food/salt/water intake has me all bloated and puffy.

I just don't know how to push through..... It's frustrating because I am so close (well about 14 lbs) from my college weig... Thu, 28 Jun 2012 21:01:07 EST Beer and Running So I have been MIA this weekend because my boyfriend and friends were in town for the Bite of Bend and the Bend Beer Run.

So, naturally, they wanted to eat out for every meal and drink... a lot.

I figured for breakfast Saturday, I would have something lighter, but they wanted to go to a sports bar for breakfast (not my first choice, and I gave three other cheap options, but they didn't want to listen to the person who lives in the town and knows of places to eat) So I... Mon, 25 Jun 2012 01:03:29 EST No point to this one.. just felt like writing. 227 hammer time.... :-) (I kinda always wanted to do that)

I am sitting in my living room watching Vampire Diaries on Netflix... oddly addicting, it is. Thankfully I have no compelling desire to much on popcorn or a bag of chips while watching.

There was a lot of drama in my life this last weekend (the kind where it didn't involve me, but the repercussions affect me.) I had three roommates when I left for the weekend and I came back to one. I hate drama an... Thu, 14 Jun 2012 00:54:48 EST Every time. At least weekly (lately), I have let myself go and binged on crap food. Things like chips, or refined carbohydrates, or soda (but I do go for the calorie free kind, as if this is some kind of redemption). Then I don't do anything but eat. I totally feel guilty and in a bad mood. I think it's the weather too. It's been rainy lately here and I get down and depressed. I am so over this rain and ready for greater weather.

Another thing that I am worried about is that I am going... Fri, 8 Jun 2012 10:11:28 EST Holy Cow, it's June! Well for the last 10 weeks, I trained for and completed my first half marathon. I seemed more tired on race day than I have before. It was fun, and very challenging but I am happy that I can complete 13 miles!

I may be a little crazy, but I signed up for another one in August. It's trail running mostly and a 800 foot elevation gain. No big deal, right? :-)

So since Sunday (5/27), I have been very loose with my diet and exercise. I told myself I would indulge a few ... Fri, 1 Jun 2012 11:30:45 EST
