As a lot of you know I am a full-time registered nurse and I work midnights. I've been doing this for about a year now. The shift has been awful on my body. When I'm not working, I'm usually exhausted and crabby. My family has totally noticed this change. I am usually a very happy, easy going person so... Sun, 7 Aug 2016 22:31:53 EST Back from vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6171051 I got back from my trip to Vegas at the beginning of the week. It's taken me a little bit to get back into the swing of things. We had an awesome time and the weather was beautiful!! We did a ton of walking, 49,500 steps in three days. My husband swore he was dying!! We didn't win any big money but we came home less broke than what we thought we would be!! I even went ziplining over Fremont Street. It was so much fun!!

<img src="http://photosaws.sparkpeople.com/guid/9a02d... Thu, 26 May 2016 22:40:37 EST May goals and a NSV!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6155126 Well the year really is flying by!! It's crazy that May is already here. We have 17 days until Vegas and I really can't wait to have some time to relax. My work schedule has been awful and is even worse this week as I am on the every other day schedule again and I'm working Friday night too. It's hard to recover from this schedule. I hate feeling like a zombie for an entire week.

April was not a fantastic month as I really strayed away from my program. In the end, I gained ba... Mon, 2 May 2016 21:55:02 EST Catching up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6150018 Wow it's hard to believe that it's already almost the end of April. Time really flies. It's been a busy month so far.

I haven't been working out as much as I should be. Its been about two weeks that I've done a "real" workout. I'm still getting exercise in but not an actual exercise session. I had the crappy schedule at work last week, working every other day. On paper it looks good, but in reality it's tough on the body (especially midnights), you just don't ever feel like y... Mon, 25 Apr 2016 13:11:43 EST April goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6132600 Can you believe it's April already?? April is off to a great start so far!! I jumped on the scale this morning and I am down 1.5 lbs!! I'm shocked, I know what I ate over the Easter weekend!! This is the first loss since I've become more focused that was above 1 lb, and I'm down about another 1.25 inches this month. I've noticed in the past week or so that I'm finding myself getting fuller faster so I know this is helping with my weight loss.

This is my weekend to work so I'v... Fri, 1 Apr 2016 13:24:16 EST Family Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6128272 I had a fantastic day with the family. We started out by going to breakfast, a trip to Home Depot and Menards looking for a new grill (ours rusted and fell apart at the end of last summer, oops!!). Then we went to Costco, I was surprised it wasn't as busy for being the day before Easter. We were in and out in 30 minutes with no free samples (Ok, one strawberry) because we were all still full from breakfast. Came home and unloaded, I got a little cleaning done while the family went and got... Sat, 26 Mar 2016 21:19:29 EST March Goals and other stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6109536 So I woke up this morning clearly not motivated at all. I was hoping the kids would get a snow day (didn't happen). It was so warm in bed, so why not stay in bed where it's warm, right? I had every intention of working out today when I went to bed last night, but things changed this morning. I was certain it wasn't happening. So I dragged my butt out of bed and sat for a while. After I ate I convinced myself that even if it was only for a few minutes it was better than nothing. Besides ... Wed, 2 Mar 2016 14:07:52 EST Another busy day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6088119 I'm finally getting a chance to relax today. I've been running errands and have been super busy around here. I got my grocery shopping done, I had to return a Christmas present (I'm well aware that it was well over a month ago!!), came home and unloaded groceries, got a load of laundry done, cooked dinner for both us and my parents (mom is recovering from knee replacement), got my son to his dentist appointment, managed to eat dinner and then it was off to the high school for a meeting abou... Thu, 4 Feb 2016 22:54:01 EST It's time to do this!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6084672 Well here we are, it's February 1. January didn't go so well for me, but I woke up this morning knowing it was time to get to it.

Normally after the kids go to school I go back to bed. Most of the time I don't even fall back asleep, but I will lay there regardless. Today was different, I did go back to bed for a little bit, still didn't fall back asleep (I must've gotten enough sleep last night!!). I think I only laid there for 20 min, then I decided that I just needed to get... Mon, 1 Feb 2016 09:10:37 EST My wake up call http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6028774 Hello all,

I haven't been on the site as much lately, but I'm still around. I've been busy getting acclimated to my new job and shift. So far so good, I'm adjusting to midnights quite well.

I had my physical and labs done for my physical and my labs were not fantastic. My cholesterol is ok, it's not high but the numbers definitely could change for the better.

My fasting blood sugar was not good. I am heading towards being pre-diabetic. I know that I c... Sun, 8 Nov 2015 15:11:58 EST Being productive http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5976692 Hello all, I hope you are having a great day. This week has been a good week. I'm down 1.4 lbs and my son is down 3 lbs so far. I'm excited about that.

I'm going to be starting my new job next week so this week I have been trying to tackle projects that have been left hanging before I start my job. I've tackled my son's closet, my daughter won't let me touch hers!! I think I'm going to take care of mine in a few minutes. Still debating on going through my husband's closet, al... Wed, 12 Aug 2015 14:10:06 EST Lots of changes going on!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5972608 Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. It's been a really long time that I've been able to blog.

A lot is changing around here. First of all, I've graduated, taken and passed my nursing boards and have accepted a full-time RN position which I will start in two weeks. I'm very excited to go back to work full-time. Although I have to say it's strange not getting ready to go back to school right now. I will start completing my BSN program in January. My husband will be l... Wed, 5 Aug 2015 13:02:41 EST Snow Day!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5849547 Ok so technically it's a wind chill day, but either way the kids are home from school today. I saw at noon the wind chill was still around -22. That's way too cold for me! I have been telling my husband forever that we need to move somewhere warm, but I can't convince him.

I bought my hubby a Ninja blender for Christmas because he wanted to make smoothies. I think I've created a monster!! He's constantly checking out new recipes with different ingredients that he wouldn't even... Thu, 8 Jan 2015 13:51:24 EST Reflecting on the past year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5842000 2014 for me was filled with both ups and downs. The year started well with me in the middle of my first year of nursing school. We saw a lot of snow, 93 inches worth!! My husband was laid off for five weeks, that was a scary time and we learned to manage with what we had. I completed my first year of school in June.

My son had foot surgery at the end of June, so I spent a lot of the summer taking care of him. It was during that time that I really recommitted myself to my healt... Wed, 31 Dec 2014 12:57:48 EST Getting back into "normal" mode feels so good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5832088 I'm glad to be done with my final exams. The past two weeks have been super crazy with both highs and lows.

I had my final exam yesterday and I rocked it. I now have two more classes to finish before I finish my RN degree in May. My son was at 5th grade camp this past week and he had a really great time. I'm glad the weather wasn't super cold. I missed him while he was gone, but I was able to get some studying done in peace and quiet.

On a sad note, my husbands gr... Fri, 12 Dec 2014 20:05:52 EST Is it too early for Christmas music?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5812274 I was driving to school this morning and while flipping through the radio stations I found that one of our local radio stations had already changed over to playing Christmas music 24/7. This is a few days later than what they have done in years past. They used to start on Nov. 1. Now don't get me wrong, I love hearing the music, just not at the beginning of November. It just reminds me that the holidays are creeping up on us!! Although on my way home as I was flipping through the station... Thu, 6 Nov 2014 23:23:45 EST Getting a little frustrated http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5809421 I've been dedicated on this journey since July and I've only lost 6 lbs, so I'm frustrated. I know that when I'm in school I might not have as much time as I had in the summer to dedicate to working out, but I'm really trying and am not seeing the results that I would like.

My goal is to lose 35 lbs total by March and right now that puts me at losing around 5.5 -6 lbs per month. I don't see that happening when I'm only losing maybe 2 per month. I need some help. Any suggestio... Sun, 2 Nov 2014 15:06:32 EST It's a new week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5805079 Last week I went back to class and I had a great week. I'm in my peds/OB rotation and I just love it. I normally don't like working peds because I hate to see sick children, but I was assigned to an adorable two month old and I was over the moon. Even better, the baby was discharged later that day!! In my OB rotation we were on the postpartum unit so we got to be with all the babies, that is always fun!! Next week we are on labor and delivery.

Of course being in another rotati... Sun, 26 Oct 2014 14:05:56 EST I forgot to do this yesterday!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5801736 I was busy yesterday, then I went to work, I forgot to log in yesterday, oops!!

I've been enjoying the last few days of my break. Today I went to lunch with a group of girlfriends. We went to Mongolian BBQ, love that place. I was very good about my food choices, I still had steak and shrimp, but I piled on the veggies. It was great to catch up with my friends that I haven't seen in a while. I made turkey chili for dinner, but I wasn't super hungry because of lunch so I only at... Mon, 20 Oct 2014 20:25:30 EST Happy Friday!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5799909 Today's been another productive day. I dropped the dog off to get groomed (she was looking really bad!!), made it to the grocery store, I've done some laundry, made lunch and made some phone calls that I've been meaning to do.

I'm excited because I'm down another pound this week. I've had some great workout sessions this week and I'll work out later today.

I've been craving asparagus this week so I'm making chicken and asparagus for dinner, yummy!! Even better, it wa... Fri, 17 Oct 2014 14:41:47 EST It's gonna be a great week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5796820 I still have the next week and a half off from school so I'm going to have a chance to actually get some stuff done around here.

First and foremost, I have plenty of time to work out. This is one thing that I miss when I'm hitting the books because although I make the time to work out, it's never as much as I wanted to do. As I've said in a previous blog, I recently purchased kettle bells and I'm absolutely loving them. I'm still trying to figure them out, but I know I'm getti... Sun, 12 Oct 2014 12:34:51 EST Back from hiatus http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5795460 So I'm back after a few weeks of to focus on my studying. I'm so glad to be done with this rotation. It was hard, mostly because my instructor didn't do a good job teaching us. I was hovering on the very low end of passing and I'm not that type of student. We all felt we had to learn the material all by ourselves. I have a great group of friends and we rallied together to learn the material and we did awesome on the final. Now it's over for two weeks and then I get to move on to OB and ... Thu, 9 Oct 2014 20:23:32 EST Another year older, it's been a great year! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5784160 Today is my birthday. 383 I'm having a good day. We went to breakfast with my parents and we will go out to dinner later. We are going for Mexican and I'm looking forward to it. The kids baked me a cake and decorated it. They did a great job decorating it, we'll have that after dinner. The kids got me scented candles, gift cards and chocolate (my weakness!!). My hubby was really sweet, cuz he went to a few stores looking for a kettle bell for me. He couldn't find a 20 lb ... Sun, 21 Sep 2014 16:05:13 EST A pleasant surprise to start the day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5782536 I had another week of not wanting to throw the scale out the window!! I lost 0.7 lbs. I view every loss, even if it's small, as a victory. Even better, I'm down 2 inches also. 244

My hip has been giving me problems this week. Especially on Monday when I was barely able to walk and had to have everyone get things for me. It was not fun. I ran on Sunday and it probably aggravated it. I took it easy on it today and walked instead of ran. It still feels pretty goo... Thu, 18 Sep 2014 19:37:29 EST Taking it one day at a time http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5779716 It's been quite a week. As you may know, my grandma passed away last week. It's been hard, but she is no longer suffering and that makes me feel better. Although I'm still sad, each day that passes, seems a little better. I have enough going on to keep me busy to help keep my mind off of things.

I can't say I've had a good week when it comes to eating. I think I ate pasta four days in a row! Don't get me wrong, I love being Italian!! Although I wasn't able to get a really go... Sun, 14 Sep 2014 14:36:46 EST Yesterday was a very hard day :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5775200 I am very sad today. This week has been really hard on me. As I have mentioned in my blog a few weeks ago, my 92 year-old grandma has been sick and was recently in the hospital. On Thursday when the doctor came to see her at the nursing home, he found that she had fluid on her lungs again. She begged and pleaded with him not to send her back to the hospital. At this point she was still in her right mind so he obliged her wishes. For most of that day she was still verbal and coherent. B... Sun, 7 Sep 2014 14:18:09 EST Glad to start a new week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5770703 I'm feeling much better today, thank goodness. I guess my allergies really weren't after all. By Friday, I was done for. After a restful day and some decent sleep (finally!!), I was feeling better. I'm just glad that being sick didn't affect either my class or clinical.

It sucks that I wasn't able to work out last week, but I was still tracking my steps so that helped keep me in a good frame of mind since I was missing working out. Although Friday I barely walked, I made up fo... Sun, 31 Aug 2014 21:03:16 EST Today started off pretty good!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5768768 Yay, the scale is still moving in the right direction!! I lost 2 lbs this week!! I'm so happy about this. Definitely a good start to the day. 244

This week is still busy with me going back to school and clinical. The kids don't go back til next week and I've been busy running them around to different appointments and practice. Today is the first day that I'm at home for more than an hour at a time. I've even managed to throw some pepper steak in the crock pot, d... Thu, 28 Aug 2014 13:38:19 EST Sunday August 24 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5766058 It's been a busy week and I'm facing another busy one this week as I go back to school.

I'm excited, nervous and a little sad to be going back to school. But I remind myself that this is my last year and I only have four more classes to go! I'll be starting the year with my psych rotation, which I guarantee will be interesting. I've had some psych patients at work so I know a little bit of what to expect.

My grandma is back in the hospital today. This is the second ... Sun, 24 Aug 2014 13:37:01 EST My shopping experience! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5765173 I had to do some clothes shopping tonight because I needed clothes for my clinical rotation for school. I'm doing my psych rotation first and we are not allowed to wear our scrubs, we have to wear "business casual" clothes. First of all I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, and don't bother me with dress shoes. I don't get dressed up all that often. I was fortunate enough to find two pair of dress pants in my closet that fit me, yay! I also tried on a pair of 9/10 pants from my closet, t... Fri, 22 Aug 2014 21:48:59 EST OMG!! My teenager let me in her room!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5763610 Something strange happened in my house last night, my daughter actually let me in her room, and for more than 5 minutes. Those of you who have teens understand what I'm talking about, cuz I swear when she's home she's in her room with the door closed. She usually doesn't even want the dog in there! She's not doing anything that she shouldn't be when she's in there, she just wants to be alone.

I'm sure she only let me in because she was changing sheets and wanted help!! I'll tak... Wed, 20 Aug 2014 13:06:44 EST Another busy week and some goals for the week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5761470 This week is my last full week off before I go back to school. I'm kinda sad because it's my last week, but I'm also excited because it's my last year of school before I graduate.

It's going to be another busy week between appointments and my daughters band practice and work. My calendar is booked pretty solid this week. Today I'm trying to get stuff done around here so it won't be as bad during the week. On a good note, we found a new mattress for my daughter and it will be de... Sun, 17 Aug 2014 14:13:21 EST Lost a little weight and some non scale victories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5759033 So I'm only down 0.2 lbs this week. Definitely not as much as I wanted. I will try harder this week. Even better, I've lost 1.5 inches so far. I've also gained 1/4 inch in my thighs. I'm pretty sure that's muscle from running!!

I find that I'm struggling with the eating. I know that when I work out, it puts my calorie range around the high mark of about 1900 calories, I can't eat all that. Then after I log my food in for the day on days that I work out, I sometimes still hav... Wed, 13 Aug 2014 14:55:44 EST Day after the great flood of 2014 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5758287 Wow what a storm we had yesterday. In six hours we got 4.5 inches of rain. Some areas got over five inches. To add insult to injury, we are expecting more rain today.

The storm itself wasn't bad as far as lightning or threats of tornados, it was just the torrential downpours. I was driving home from the doctors office in it. It was scary driving in it and what would've taken 45 minutes, took almost 1.5 hours. Although I guess it's not as bad since I heard on the 11 o'clock ne... Tue, 12 Aug 2014 13:02:41 EST Big day and my goals for the week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5757577 Today is the big day!! 244 My son is getting his cast off today. It's been a long six weeks. He's so excited and so are we. He's excited to be able to ride his bike again. He's really missed that. Although he's kinda too big for the bike he has now, but we couldn't get him a new one for his birthday since he couldn't even try them out. So we'll probably end up getting him a new one for Christmas. It's waaayy to early to think about that, ugh!!

I figured I w... Mon, 11 Aug 2014 12:53:14 EST I'm surprised my hip doesn't hurt from running! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5756899 I did my run for the day. Today I went my farthest so far, 2.16 miles. I'm pretty excited about that. I don't understand when I do the mileage tracker, it says walking. When you input it says walk/run, but shows up on my tracker as walking.

I'm surprised that my hip didn't affect my run. I was the patient sitter at work last night (I could do a whole blog about that, but I won't!), so I was sitting a lot at work last night. When I sit for too long, I either feel it in my ba... Sun, 10 Aug 2014 13:03:18 EST There really are some great people out there!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5755797 My daughter is at her marching band practice today for color guard, as she has been all week. It's at the high school and they are there all day with a break for lunch. The school serves free lunch for any child up to age 18. So I guess a lot of the students do that instead of bring their lunch, my daughter prefers to bring hers since she is a picky eater. The only problem is that they do not serve lunch on Friday. So there were about 10 students who didn't have lunch with them today. O... Fri, 8 Aug 2014 13:59:24 EST Taking advantage of the day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5753618 I started today out with plans to take my son to his physical therapy. Therapy got cancelled so it worked out to my advantage.

I dropped my daughter off at band camp, I don't have to pick her up til 4 pm. I was able to come home, eat, get my workout in early, two loads of laundry (so far!) and was able to make some phone calls too. All this before noon! On a "normal" day, this wouldn't have happened. For those of you who don't know, I'm so not a morning person. I love my slee... Tue, 5 Aug 2014 12:27:22 EST Looking ahead to August http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5750718 Since tomorrow is August 1 (also my son's birthday!), I am putting my August goals out there so I can be accountable and hopefully the scale will move down even more than what it has been.

1. I want to lose at least 4 lbs by August 30.

2. I will work out for at least 30 min. 3-4x/week.

3. I still hope to inspire my hubby to work out on a more regular basis.

4. I will log all food eaten, even the not so good stuff.

5. I will find heal... Thu, 31 Jul 2014 23:20:25 EST Time to make a change http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5749728 Last night I was reviewing all of my info here on SP including previous weights, measurements, etc all the way back to 2012 when I started. I was surprised at some of the stuff I saw. My lowest weight in about 11 years happened in 2012 when I hit 149 lbs. I was also surprised that I gained about 13 lbs since I started the nursing program last fall.

I started looking at this stuff because I was a little down on myself about not losing as much weight as I'd like, and I really wa... Sat, 26 Jul 2014 12:54:05 EST Good news!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5744320 I took my son to the doctor yesterday for his follow up visit after his surgery. The doctor took the cast off of his right foot!! He didn't have as extensive work done on the right one, so that's why he was able to take it off. He is now a little more mobile. He will get crutches to get around too once he starts physical therapy. He's so excited that he is able to move around a little better. The other cast comes off in a few more weeks. We cannot wait for that.

Today has be... Tue, 22 Jul 2014 14:52:22 EST What a difference a good workout makes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5740302 I was woken up at 4:45 am today by the sound of my husbands alarm blaring. It was so loud that it scared me awake! Needless to say I didn't fall back asleep. When I don't sleep I tend to get headaches. I had one most of the day. I took some Motrin then later I took some Excederin migraine. Neither seemed to work, I was able to fall asleep on the couch for about 20 min until the phone rang, nobody important of course, so I wasn't able to fall back asleep after that. At this point it's t... Wed, 16 Jul 2014 19:21:59 EST Little by little http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5739430 I'm really excited that the scale has finally started to move the right way!! That totally made my day. It might not have been as much as I would've liked, but losing is losing, so I'll take it any way I can get it! It might have been a little more but it probably didn't help that my son wanted DQ last night, I'm so weak for ice cream!!

I've been doing run/walk intervals for my cardio hoping to do more running than walking. I have never been a runner, but I would eventually lik... Tue, 15 Jul 2014 14:13:05 EST Wishing I could go outside http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5735396 It is a beautiful day here today! Sunny and about 75 degrees. Unfortunately I'm not able to be outside to enjoy it. I'm still taking care of my son who is recovering from foot surgery. My daughter and I cannot safely get his wheelchair out the door so we can enjoy being outside. We will have to wait for my hubby to get home and then we'll be out of the house. I can't wait until these casts come off my son's feet! He's getting cabin fever too. Trying to come up with different things to... Wed, 9 Jul 2014 14:08:41 EST My sons recovery, day 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5730624 My son's recovery seems to be going well. He is able to move around a little more today and the swelling in his left foot seems to be going down some more as he is able to wiggle more toes. He still has a ways to go, but it's all about the baby steps.

I'm with him pretty much 24/7 taking care of him including sleeping on the main floor in case he needs help in the middle of the night. When my hubby gets home from work, he helps with anything my son might need, but he's not a gre... Wed, 2 Jul 2014 13:37:00 EST Catching up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5729116 I hope you are all having a good Monday. It's been awhile that I've had a chance to blog. I've been wrapped up in my first year of nursing school. I can proudly say that I have successfully completed the first year and I am on summer vacation!! It always feels strange when I don't have studying to do!

Today I am taking care of my son who is recovering from foot surgery on Friday. Yesterday was our first day home from the hospital and after a good nights sleep, finally, he is d... Mon, 30 Jun 2014 13:54:03 EST I'm back in the game!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5650803 After many months of not bothering to try to get healthy and fit, today is the day I make that change. I have been so wrapped up with nursing school (I still am), that I have pushed off exercise and made excuses why I can't do it. Well, I know I can do it. I know I may not have all the time in the world, but I have no reason that I can't carve out some time to work out.

I'm hoping to lose around 35 lbs. I know it's not going to happen overnight or in a matter of a few months. ... Tue, 18 Mar 2014 13:15:43 EST I survived my first semester of nursing school!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5563217 I had my final exam yesterday and with the exception of one more class session, I am done for the semester!! I ended up with a 3.8 overall. I'm so excited about it. Now I'm trying to get back to reality for a minute and catch up on things while I have the time.

It's hard to believe Christmas is less than two weeks away. I feel so unprepared. I am going to do a little shopping tomorrow. I won't be surprised if I am still shopping on Christmas eve and up all night wrapping!! ... Thu, 12 Dec 2013 22:48:05 EST
