First I got sick. It was awful, but Grandma came to rescue and took the kids so I could rest. It is amazing how draining they can be. Then, when I was feeling better my computer went down, so I could not log on! When I got the computer running again, I was behind in school work, so I chose to hold on immersing myself in SparkPeople again until I was caught up. I am not caught up yet, but I couldn’t stay away any longer!

Despite the sob sto... Thu, 24 Jan 2013 20:27:50 EST End of Week 5, onto Week 6 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5201402 Week Five has been difficult, but rewarding. My classes resumed this week, which is always a bit of a stressor for me. My two-year-old also came down with a nasty stomach virus. I knew it was going to be a tough week and I had “allowed” myself to take a step back and not get overwhelmed. This means I skipped the gym on Monday and had a few comfort foods as needed. Ultimately, I am pleased with the results. As you will see in the next paragraph, despite my slip-ups last week, I am still anothe... Thu, 10 Jan 2013 23:32:53 EST End of Week 4, Onto Week 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5188914 Week four has been a fairly good week. I recovered from my holiday gain by losing 3 pounds. This has me sitting at 273 pounds, for a total of 7 pounds lost. I also have been pretty consistent with my exercise and water streaks.

On the other hand, I have not been consistent with logging in my food. In my defense, I am keeping sticky notes of everything I eat, so I am still aware of what is going in (and roughly how many calories) I just find logging all my food after the kids go to... Thu, 3 Jan 2013 20:47:41 EST New Years Resolutions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5183938 I know alot of people who think New Years resolutions are silly. I have even read statistics mocking how quickly people toss them to the wayside. I don't care, I love them. And every year I make them. Most years I do not acheive them. Some years I didn't even remember what they were as the new year approached!

So last year, I tried something different. I made resolutions, but easier ones. I didn't set out January 1st to conquer the world. I didn't plan to be a size two, I didn't vo... Tue, 1 Jan 2013 13:22:35 EST End of Week One, On to Week Two http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5165894 This weeks weigh-in was at 272. This means I am down 8 pounds. I know I should be super excited, but I am well aware that a drastic of a loss is not maintainable. I am okay with that. As long as the scale does not go back up, I am doing well. I do not feel any improvements physically or mentally, but that also will take time. I just need to be patient with myself and the process. I also need to dedicate more time to logging in SparkPeople. Usually if I hop on, I quickly update my fitness, but... Thu, 13 Dec 2012 21:53:05 EST Day 1- My Spark Restart http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5158811 Today is the first day of my Spark Restart. What I mean by this is I have previously been a member of SparkPeople. In fact, not only was I a member, I lost 40 pounds! A little over a year ago I ended my relationship with SparkPeople after going from 300 pounds to 260. I felt great, was staying motivated, and didn’t need another time commitment... or so I thought! Long story short, I have gained back 20 of those 40 pounds. So, I decided to restart my program and re-lose the weight I gained bac... Fri, 7 Dec 2012 00:42:00 EST
