Not sure that is how to spell it but it is an unusual name. There are many types of Yoga and I've tried them. But this class is amazing. I have had back problems with a sore right hip for years. Sometimes just could not get comfortable when lying down. So I'm been to a chiropractor for about a year and then started this Yoga class.

Sverapa involves lying on a blanket on the floor for at least half the class. I go on Thur... Fri, 24 Oct 2014 09:08:34 EST PROGRESS REPORT http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5802644 Well, I can honestly say that the Personal Trainer Food diet was a success. I've lost 10 lbs and it is still off! Weighed this morning and even though I was gone to a retreat this weekend. I've learned to eat more sensibly. I still have a freezer full of veggies and a few meats so I can still have lunches that are easily. So tired of eggs for breakfast. I think a veggie soup might be in my future.

On another note, my sister had major sinus surgery a couple of weeks ago to ... Wed, 22 Oct 2014 08:42:11 EST PTF DAY 28 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5798700 Is it really 28 days and I still have a freezer full of food? Lunch is definitely from the PTF plate. I am cooking a pot roast tonight for my sister and her husband. She had major sinus surgery last week and hasn't been able to cook anything. We ate with them on Monday and first meal she had all week. She ate it all. So POt roast it is. Have to go shopping! Wed, 15 Oct 2014 11:25:16 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 27 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5798048 Well, the two lbs I lost is hovering, up and down but I'm confident it will eventually stay down. This is how I lose. I will say that the last three days have not been exactly PTF friendly. Hubby bought pizza home for lunch yesterday and then we took food to my sister who just had surgery and he bought a pecan pie. Not helping me a bit but holding my own on the weight. Back to the plan today. Most of the food is tasty but this morning I had butter chicken patty and don't like it much. V... Tue, 14 Oct 2014 11:55:48 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 24, PLAN EXPLANATION http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5796245 I decided that today I would explain this plan more thoroughly. Over labor day while on vacation, Amazon sent me a voucher for $99 to apply towards $200 worth of PTF food. I bought it and when I got back from vacation, immediately placed the order. The normal price is $324 for 28 days worth of lunches and dinners, 56 meals. You get to select 56 pieces of meat and 56 packs of veggies, each individually portioned. They have a LOT of choices, I mean a LOT> So I went through the list and se... Sat, 11 Oct 2014 09:17:01 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 23 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5795667 I got up this morning to a 2 lb weight loss! Total of 11 pounds since I started this effort in July. Had a major set back in August and over labor day but ordered the PTF after I got back from vacation. Last night, we had quilt guild meeting and didn't get home until 8:00. I really wasn't all that hungry and didn't feel like heating up food so I had a sliced red delicious apple with peanut butter. Perfectly fine it was. Early morning meeting today so moving on. Fri, 10 Oct 2014 07:26:47 EST Personal Trainer Food Day 22 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5795074 So far so good. Scale moved a hair to the left of 190 this morning. I lose so slowly. Maybe If I exercised it would go faster. Ate out for lunch and had a chicken salad stuffed tomato with fruit. Then for dinner, I cooked two pork chops I had in the freezer and veggies. I send my husband to the freezer to pick out his own veggies. Added applesauce to the mix and was very happy. Thu, 9 Oct 2014 07:18:43 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY21 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5794516 Wow, have I been doing this for 3 weeks already? I still have plenty of food left because we eat out so much but at least I am making better choices when I do eat out and not snacking or having dessert. Yesterday I did succumb to a McDonald's ice cream cone. I enjoyed it very much and am done with that for a while. Did I think about not having it, that it wasn't allowed. Yes, I did, but I decided to reward myself. Back on the gravy train today with a breakfast of an egg and 2 slices of ... Wed, 8 Oct 2014 08:10:48 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 20 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5794090 So this morning I was late getting out the door to a meeting and I grabbed a banana and a hunk of cheddar cheese. The banana is supposedly a no no as I'm only supposed to have apples, (I"ll address that in a minute) Yesterday I made some veggie soup with a Spark recipe, in the crock pot and we had that for dinner last night. And just had another bowl for lunch. I threw in the pack of fajita steak strips and a bag of veggies from PTF> The fajita seasoning made it real tasty. I also adde... Tue, 7 Oct 2014 13:52:44 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 19 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5793232 Time to get creative! I have lost a total of 9 lbs since July, 5 with PTF. The scale is firmly fixed at 190 which I am pleased about but would like it to move south. However, last night I tried on a dress I had bought earlier in the summer on sale and it now fits much better. I can even wear it to a ball in November so that is good. Would like to move a few more pounds.
Now, PTF is getting pretty boring. My husband is balking so I must get creative in how to use it. I am glad to p... Mon, 6 Oct 2014 07:57:40 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 17 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5792141 Okay, so last night I gave in to two glasses of wine and crackers with my cheese. Those were two no nos but my excuse is, I just wanted the wine and crackers so had them. Hubby offered pancakes for breakfast and I started to say yes, then thought better of it. I have a lot of frozen food in the freezer so I am eating something from there. Eggs and bacon have become really tedious so veggies and meat might sound good.
Today I am off to FSU vs Wake Forst. We park the car but must walk... Sat, 4 Oct 2014 08:59:54 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 16 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5791554 16 DAYS so far. Kind of settled in on the weight loss but if I can just stick to this for another two weeks, I should lose a few more. This is definitely the hardest time, the third week. Tomorrow we go to a football game, FSU vs Wake Forest. I'll be walking to the stadium but we will stop to eat somewhere for lunch. Will try to be thoughtful in my choices. Fri, 3 Oct 2014 07:46:36 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 15 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5790914 The video from PTF advised me that week 3 is the hardest. And last night I succumbed to onion rings and a coconut lenon bar. Oh, bad me, but jumping back on the bandwagon this morning with 2 eggs. I understand the video's words that I would be craving pasta and carbs and they are right. Not giving up though as I have a freezer full of food to eat.
This morning I had my two hard boiled eggs and coffe. When I get home from my decorating appmt, I'll have a PTF lunch and then off to a... Thu, 2 Oct 2014 07:32:25 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5790222 Well I'm halfway in but haven't eaten half the food yet. Although my husband does get his share of the veggies when we eat at home. We did so last night with store bought chicken and frozen veggies. I messed up though when I brought a slice of cake home for my husband and he shared it with me. You know what? It didn't taste all that good and then it settled on my stomach. Got to stick with this.
I'm at the point in any diet when I know the scale will slow down. I have yet to sta... Wed, 1 Oct 2014 07:53:03 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 13 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5789567 I'm getting real tired of all this protein and veggies and would love to add a half a bagel for breakfast. I will wait on that though. I am slowly searching for ways to spice up the food and found a recipe for Southern American Succotash Soup with Chicken at
. I made it last night as I had the ingredients at hand and was able to pull the lima beans from my stash. Had just purchased a rotisserie chicken from Publix and dismantled it to add to the sou... Tue, 30 Sep 2014 08:03:21 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 12 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5788908 Getting real tired of eggs and sausage for breakfast but hey, its allowed. I will say that eating all this protein keeps me full. I am allowed an apple but no other fruit. That seems silly but I'm sticking to it for the most part. Been experimenting with different apples. Tried an "envy" apple and I like it very much. Very crisp and not mushy. Today a friend is coming over to sew and I'll have chicken salad lunch! I love that chicken salad.
I know one thing for sure, we are sav... The scale had landed on 190 hovering towards 189. Oh, I am so happy and my stomach definitely feels flatter. Last night we went to a party and I was able to wear a flirty skirt I hadn't worn in a while. Got lots of complements on how nice I looked. Even though my weight is up there, my frame allows me to carry it and I don't look as heavy as I am. Thus, wasn't that interested in losing.

However, the PTF program is sooooooo easy. Just grab a meat and veg, heat i... Sun, 28 Sep 2014 08:04:44 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 10 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5787758 Ten days in and my stomach feels so much flatter. Such a good feeling. Had fajitas last night at the mexican restaurant, no tortillas, a few chips and salsa. Usually I eat the whole basket of chips so that was good. Water water everywhere helps you get up early to pee.
Today is a home/sew/football day. Hubby has to work so I will be heating up something healthy to eat and watching FSU vs NC 281 STATE.
Yesterday for lunch, I grabbed one of the hamburgers provided,... Sat, 27 Sep 2014 07:39:45 EST Personal Trainer Food Day 9 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5787233 So far so good. Yesterday I was at home most of the day so was able to eat my food. For dinner, I pulled two chicken breasts out to heat up. Then I shaved corn off of one ear and sauteed with 2 slices of diced bacon, some diced onion. I heated up my PTF lima beans and then threw them in with the corn for succotash. Tasty. It wasn't unlike a meal I might have made anyway, grilled chicken and a veggie, but I would have added spuds or bread and had a dessert. A friend had given us some c... Fri, 26 Sep 2014 08:30:09 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 8 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5786633 Today is the start of my second week with PTF and I am very pleased. I have a freezer full of food that I can just pull out and nuke and have a meal in minutes. I don't have to think about it. That is the biggest advantage of this program! I think we will save money on groceries too as I won't be buying much. We continue to eat out all the time though but I have it down to a science. I peruse the menu and pick the healthiest items that are allowable. I ended up eating out at lunch and... Thu, 25 Sep 2014 08:53:47 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 7 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5786018 Amazing, i've been doing this for 7 days today! And we've eaten out more often than we've eaten in. In fact, I've eaten out 5 days in a row and out again tonight. That is why I've always had so much trouble losing. We eat out so much.
So today I decided to go to the website
and watch the video for week one and week two.
The number one goal each week is to:
1. We ended up eating out with my sister last night at Ruby Tuesday's again. I went for the chicken fresco in the lemon butter sauce, green beans and broccoli. Not missing those spuds. Breakfast is difficult. So much sausage and eggs. I'm pulling a lunch sausage out of the freezer to try for breakfast. I like to steam spinach along with the sausage as the juice flavors the spinach. Sausage and spinach for breakfast, what a combo.
The biggest advantage to this... Tue, 23 Sep 2014 07:33:58 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5784545 So yesterday, after a breakfast of eggs, sausage and bacon, I was not hungry the rest of the day. I had taken out a steak for my husband so he fixed steak and corn. At 6:00. I heated up italian chicken and Venice veggies. I included a daub of ranch dressing to dip the chicken in. It was tasty, as diet foods go. I enjoy the veggies because they are crisp and not soggy and boiled to death like they do here in the south. I am originally a Yankee and prefer crisper veggies. I'm looking fo... Mon, 22 Sep 2014 07:25:06 EST PERSONAL TRAINER FOOD DAY 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5783916 It occurred to me last night that I haven't eaten much PTF food in the last two days. Went out to eat Friday and Sat nights but chose wisely, nixed the starches and ate veggies and meat only. Today we are out again for breakfast but I will eat plenty of eggs and bacon and sausage. Monday I am looking forward to the convenience of grabbing meat and veg from the freezer and heating it up for lunch. I am so wanting the scale to move south a few pounds into 180 ville. And so easy. They recommend the heating up time but my microwave seems to want longer. For dinner, I grabbed a garlic butter chicken breast with Caribbean veggies. Wasn't as fond of it as I wanted to be and had to reheat it at least once. Well I'm fixing to be tough because I have some stressors that are hard to deal with. My MIL is near death and my son lost his job again. It is just too much for me to bear so I am setting some goals I can deal with.

First, I need t... Tue, 14 May 2013 08:55:46 EST UPDATE ON MIL http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5353464 Its after 8:00 p.m. and we just left the nursing home. It doesn't look good and it can't be long. At least we hope and pray that the Lord takes her home to be with the rest of her family. We have been away for 5 days and got back at 4:00 p.m. The nurse called at 5:00 and said that she hadn't eaten all day, was very unresponsive, wouldn't wear her teeth or her glasses. She wanted to run some tests and/or take her to the ER. We said no to the ER and yes to the tests. However, when we got... Sat, 11 May 2013 21:30:14 EST THE SMALLEST WINNER http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5333822 Before I get started on this blog, I want to let you know that yesterday's problem was resolved. Giving it over to the Lord really helped.

My husband and I joined the YMCA program last night called "The Smallest Winner" It goes 8 weeks and there are 2 teams of ten people and two trainers. We get points for going to the yMCA, handing in our food sheets, etc. The idea is to get people involved. There are 2 men in the class and the rest are women. I'm looking forward to it. ... I am not going to discuss them here but I am so tired of these things happening to us. They say the Lord gives challenges to people he knows can handle them and I guess we are those people. When I got there, she was sitting in the hallway and when she saw me, her first words were, "9 people came to visit me from Canada!" She hates sitting in the hallway and I hate for her to do that as well, but that is what they do, park the residents there, all lined up after lunch.
So I wheeled her into her room and I sat on the bed and listened to her talk for an hour while I finished the binding on a bag I was making. Now,... Mon, 22 Apr 2013 08:35:49 EST UPDATE ON MIL http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5307111 My MIL is in the nursing home full time now. She wants to be gone from there but we can't do it. She is sliding into dementia at times and she can't walk or stand by herself now. Yesterday, we took her to brunch at our Yacht Club. When we got to the nursing home to pick her up, she was at a church service in the dining room. It was 6 members from a church whose members are primarily african americans and they were having an alter call of sorts. MIL was extremely moved and had tears in h... Mon, 1 Apr 2013 07:57:59 EST
