It was confirmed that I have bone spurs in both feet at the back of the heel at the end of my achilles. My right foot is worse then my left. The doctor said I had to stop running/walking outdoors and I had to do only low-impact workouts... ugh, kinda figured he would tell me I wasn't allowed to run anymore, but to actually hear it was hard to take. He told me to do 1 stretch everyday 3 times for 15 mins for the next 30 d... I was in a boot for 6 weeks and wasn't able to exercise or run. I don't have insurance, so we didn't have the money for me to go to the follow up appointment. Was able to talk with them over the phone, so I started out slow getting back into my exercise routine. I hadn't bought new running shoes in about 2 years, I did buy new workout/walking shoes to start. Last weekend my friends and I went to Red Coyote and bought new running shoes...even ran ... As some of you know I'm tackling with Achilles Tendonites in my left foot and I haven't been able to any miles or workout like I had since the end of June. Last month I started walking miles and doing easy workouts. My Achilles has been feeling so much better, so this week I started jogging. Monday I walked/jogged a mile and today I walked/jogged 2 miles. Achilles is holding up and I thank the power of prayer for my healing.... Because I had trained for an event in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, my legs were pretty strong - BUT my upper body a whole different story. Lower abs, left side mostly, are really sore. Meeting with instructor tomorrow morning about it. I'm working through it! She gave us a challenge to Plank every hour today. I had to plank at Walmart...sorry no pics yet...I'm by myself until this afternoon. I plan on planking with my kids when they get home from school. And tonight is our Preschool Open House, so I hope to get the teachers to plank with me. <BR> <BR> I feel really energized today!! <em... Felt GREAT!! It was so much better being in back. Not too much chit chatting since we were with the primary boot camp instructor. More and more I'm liking these morning workouts. But...this morning we had a different trainer and the campers were way too chit chatting...it was kinda distracting during our cool down & some during our running segments, because they weren't paying attention...do I say something to the main instructor? She will be our run instructor on Wednesday's and we have the other instructor on Monday's. OR I might opt to be in the complete back of the group...I started there... We start off the morning with running...I love running!!! Tuesday, I report back to the preschool. Can't wait to meet my new students on Thursday. Last night my 8th grade son had a scrimmage against a 5A school. The offense didn't fair to well against them, my son plays center. The other team was pretty mean to our boys. With much hesitation and talking with the instructor I opted to started with the beginner group. Baby steps to not getting hurt and not being able to run/walk at all. It was perfect this morning. My legs felt great. My back felt great. My sheen's are a little prickly, but all in all I made the best choice.
