I weight 178 and that was in Aug of 2012. I now weigh 161 lbs! I only have 3 more lbs to go but I'm not going to stop there! My ultimate goal is to get 150! I would be so excited! Thu, 28 Mar 2013 13:55:11 EST You can do it. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5303303 I have a friend that I work with that is a mother of 6 whom of which her oldest is my age. Her mom was a health nut and died of cancer. She is very overweight and struggles with self image. She was trying nutrisystem which is all packaged foods and not the healthiest choices. She has tried weight watchers and didn't like it. She has turned to me for advice and help on getting a grip on my image and weight loss. She seems skeptical about eating clean and exercise. I reminded her that no... Thu, 28 Mar 2013 13:52:45 EST Look at your clothes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5293605 I've posted before that when I look in a mirror I see no difference in the way I look. My clothes are getting bigger. A size 16 to 12 is a huge difference.

I've been thinking about it. Everything that we say is "smaller" than something is because we have something in mind to compare it too. When I look at myself I don't have another bigger me standing next to me to compare to.

Looking at the way my clothes fit is definitely evidence enough. To over come the perspe... Wed, 20 Mar 2013 11:18:39 EST Awesome! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5284014 Had an amazing weekend! Went on a hike with my Husband and dog. Its the first time I've ever been able to keep up and not need to really stop. We stopped for water and not exhaustion. I feel so good! We got a lot done too!

Hubby and I went clearance shopping and I bought another size 12 pants b/c i have 3 pairs of pants I can wear without them falling off. :) I haven't weighed myself lately but I've been working on toning and muscle building so I know that its not going to be... Tue, 12 Mar 2013 13:37:17 EST God is Good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5268986 God has answered my prayers! We have accepted a position a local college in dining services. I started this past wed. I love it! It has been such a God send. On the other side, the are expecting the world from me so the pressure is on. I don't want to disappoint anyone. I am just going to keep falling on my knees in prayer and Give all I have, even if it kills me!

On a different note. Despite my exhaustion I'm still hitting the "gym" and leaving it all on the mat! God is ... Fri, 1 Mar 2013 20:17:07 EST One day at a time http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5257594 I keep looking in the mirror thinking, "can you really tell a difference?" I guess the answer is yes. I don't know what I expect to see when I look but I thought that maybe I would have less rolls and a less wavy physique. On Sunday I went out to eat with dad and my hubby. My dad is aware of my new lifestyle which resembles his and is very proud of me. He was not aware however of how much weight I have lost. He said to me "You look really good punkins! How much have you lost so far?" ... Wed, 20 Feb 2013 13:58:41 EST Stupid Trigger Foods! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5228753 Yesterday I had a cookie then 3 more to follow. Then I had a small box of russel stovers chocolates. GRRRR! Once I started I was out of control.

Doing better so far today! I made oatmeal with fresh cranberries in it. It was so good! It was chilly again today so the warmth of the oatmeal was just perfect.

Despite going home again I did fairly well on managing what went into my body. Pizza and homemade blueberry muffins were the worst thing I ate. I felt really good ab... Tue, 29 Jan 2013 12:39:45 EST Clean eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5221681 So I started eating clean last Thursday. Eating no sweets and very little processed anything. I didn't realize how hard this really is. I thought that people that ate "whole foods" were nuts. But after all the research and different documentaries I've watched and read I have learned so much. I knew that processed foods weren't the greatest for you, but who know that eating canned veg and fruit were just as bad. I have also learned that we were never meant to be strictly carb eaters and ... Thu, 24 Jan 2013 13:10:33 EST My weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5217020 It was wonderful! The only way it could have been better would be that my dad and my sister would have been able to come up to visit with my mom.

I had an interview on sat. That went pretty well and my mom came up for the rest of the weekend. Mom wanted to take us out to eat. I thought about it only for a minute. I selected a Mongolian BBQ place that I knew would have things that I could eat. They have it buffet style where you go up and pick what you want in a bowl, your sauce ... Mon, 21 Jan 2013 12:18:45 EST Feeling relieved http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5211434 Have you ever jumped into a pair of pants or jeans in this case and feel like they were snug? Then you put them in the wash and not wear them for a while and then they are falling off? Isn't that a great feeling? I often wonder if my butt had stretched them out too much that they wouldn't bounce back. lol j/k

My jeans today which are my favorite pair are not heavily worn. They were big to begin with and now they are so loose I catch myself fishing for them. lol What a good feel... Thu, 17 Jan 2013 11:30:56 EST Its a new day, a new week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5206359 Feeling motivated again. I look in the mirror and I don't think it looks worse so I know I have kept the weight off. I went running outside again yesterday. I have ran 2 miles in 20 minutes by myself, without the dog. If it stays warm I will go run again.

I have been going over my food allotment. I am doing to shut that down now! I have been so good with my intake and I felt like I had that under control. Two days over isn't bad. Its not great but it could be worse. My h... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 09:39:07 EST Fighting through the new year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5202084 The cookies, cakes, candy, sweets in general just won't leave my house. We got a whole but for xmas. Then New Years eve came around and I bought a few more. We ate most of it in two days. I gained only 2 lbs which isn't bad but I still hadn't really worked out for that whole week in between.

I am back to a solid 175. Working out all of a sudden feels like a chore. I was so motivated and I did so good. But now I almost want to give up. I'm not going to but I want to. I also f... Fri, 11 Jan 2013 11:56:43 EST Hit Rewind http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5163027 Well last week proved to be bad eating and exercising wise. I'm back in the saddle. I increased my weekly goals because I was hitting them in 2-3 days.

On a personal note my husband was in a car accident friday night. He is ok! But the car not so lucky. The front bumper cover was taken off along with a headlight and the opposite blinker. It was a hit and run. Mike and I were worried on how we were going to pay for it. We had a 500 deductible on our insurance.

We... Tue, 11 Dec 2012 09:17:20 EST Slacker! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5157174 My husband took me on a mini vacation starting monday. I had an interview at 10 then we were on the road by noon. We shopped all day. Then we went to the hotel's brick oven restaurant and we had pizza. Went to the nut cracker came back to the hotel and had some champagne and chocolate and went to sleep. I didn't work out unless you count shopping.

Next day I had a healthy breakfast. Wed, 5 Dec 2012 13:46:29 EST Can't keep me down http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5151389 I pulled a muscle in my left hammy. Ouch! Made me so mad but I didn't let that stop me. I did push ups crunches and free weights. Leg is a little better today but I'm no going to push it. A 10 min jog with the wii will do just fine and I'll do a few other small things. Here goes nothing! Fri, 30 Nov 2012 08:32:04 EST A feel of accomplishment http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5150119 I have a special date coming up with my husband. I have this bridesmaid dress that was picked out by the bride specifically so that we can wear it again. This dress is just begging to be worn. I tried it on over the summer because I wanted to wear it for a function. It was too tight 46 .

Fast forward to yesterday morning! I put it on and it ALMOST fits perfectly. Its still tight around the thighs. We don't leave till monday. Here's hoping. :) Thu, 29 Nov 2012 01:22:13 EST Day 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5137186 Well yesterday I only ate 1160 cal which is close to 400 less than I should have eaten. The day ended fairly well otherwise.

I went to bed before 11p and I have my alarm set for 730a. I was up at 430a. Wide away. I was thinking about things I had to get done before our show on sat. Could not sleep mind is sleepy but thinking. Body is up. So I got up at 630a. I was tired of just laying there staring at my sleeping husband in the dark.

So far I'm up and planning on wo... Fri, 16 Nov 2012 08:38:11 EST Day 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5136311 Feeling really good today. Had coffee for the first time in a whole week. I met with my neighbor ladies for our weekly coffee chat. I had to shower before I met them which I don't normally do but I smelled and felt yucky. I did a short routine prior so that I didn't miss out on working out even a little bit.

Today's plan is to work on my legs and butt today. I tried on a dress I would like to wear on Dec. third. It hasn't fit real well in about a year. Good news is it fit ar... Thu, 15 Nov 2012 11:58:46 EST I can do it! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5134940 I'm 29 years old and I have a 24 year old sister who is in grad school, training to be a cop, and a body builder. She called me last night and I felt embarrassed because shes talking about going to bikini competition in March. I got so excited then I realized I am going to be huge standing next her at the competition because I will go and support her. I realized how embarrassed I am that I can't even lose a pound.
Then the conversation went from "Dawn I'm so happy for you let me know wh... Wed, 14 Nov 2012 09:13:44 EST
