He is probably describing why with all the exercise I haven't been able to lose weight very easily. I've always said it is not 'calorie in calorie out' and he puts it down on paper why not. This is not necessarily an easy read but he gets right down to the studies and relates them to how the body works. Mon, 11 Jul 2011 21:49:01 EST 100 miles http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3543540 I finished the 102 miles on the bike with ease in 6hrs 11 min at 16.5 mph! There were about 4 cookies, 1 1/2 bananas, 3 pieces of watermelon, protein bar, GOO and some electrolyte drinks involved in keeping up the energy. We had the best sag man following us around with water and ice and stopping with us to dole it out. It was 96 degrees and I found my long sleeves held ice cubes, cubes wrapped in my kerchief around my neck and a cup of them in my sport bra all helped to keep the core cool... Thu, 27 May 2010 17:39:26 EST Rate the Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3162691 Well I've been rating my days and they are pretty much between 3 and 7 mostly in the middle because I keep latching on to a cookie or a llittle bowl of ice cream. Usually not enough to bump me out of my calorie range. I just don't lose and pounds unless I amin the lowest part of the calorie range. I'm working on it but have already messed up the day with a cookie...they are now gone. Mon, 26 Apr 2010 12:33:22 EST Failure to follow through. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3123854 Blogging every day is not something I have trained myself to do so it may be splotchy her on that number thing I mentioned last time. I have been recording my outlook in my excel sheet and it has been mediocre. This is true mainly because of the chocolate that Rama sent me for my birthday. They are disappearing sloooowly but that adds extra calories every day. Just for the record Rama, I like the dark choc carmel with salt sprinkles....decadent. I'm going to blog a number between 1 and 10 each day and try to figure out how to get my mojo or focus back. I had hand surgery and that has kept me from my favorite activities, swimming and biking. That is probably the biggest problem. Today I did 30 min on the elliptical, 30 in the garden and 42 on the bike. Sat, 10 Apr 2010 20:20:20 EST Bye bye Christmas pounds http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2766883 A healthy eating streak started on 1/3 has rewarded me in losing the Christmas pounds in 10 days. Continuing the streak will continue the lose. I've been doing well on it but now have the nasty cold that was passing around the family. My energy level is a bit down but I'm committed to continue at least walking everyday and doing my strength training. If I can do a pound every 10 days that means in 100 days I'll have at least 10 lbs off! That would put me in the 150's in April. Can I do ... In my mind it is because we are getting more like rats in cages as the population grows. As we cleave onto our little space in this world people are shutting out others around them because this enables them to think they have more space. This only leads to more loneliness.
