Mon, 12 Jun 2017 21:16:57 EST Moderate low carb is working great! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6359397 Labels are a pain. I'm pretty much not eating bread, so I get the "are you doing a no carb diet? I'm not really. Some days I'm around 100 carbs, some days 150. I am purposely staying under 150, but I'm finding I stay around 100 on a normal weekday just due to the meals I'm eating. I will eat a piece of pizza here and there, I will eat higher carb foods, but I actually prefer NOT to because I feel so much better when I eat foods not high in starchy carbs.

I know I have lost seven p... Mon, 8 May 2017 17:22:20 EST Carbs are my Kryptonite http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6352648 After trying pretty much every diet EVER, I have finally found something that actually works for me without making me feel like crap, without starving or buying all kinds of weird stuff, or not being able to eat out ever again.

It seems that carbohydrates have been the thing holding me back from normal weight loss. You know the "calories in, calories out" thing, the "all calories are the same" thing?

All lies for me.

I have been tracking my food intake for ... Mon, 24 Apr 2017 02:35:30 EST Five days Carbs under 150 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6349377 Started Wednesday April 12th , so four days so far. Today is the first day I had a headache, I did not eat my smoothie today, ate eggs and ham instead. I'm thinking I will do a higher carb day every four days, not like high carb going to eat a bunch of bread and spaghetti, I mean like having a smoothie with blueberries, carbs from veggies and fruits, like I just did, which got rid of my headache! Tonite I am attempting zucchini pasta tonite. My mom got me a star fruit or something like that.... Sun, 16 Apr 2017 17:18:26 EST I'm a Endo-Meso http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6347767 I have been religiously weighing and measuring my food for 86 days. I have been walking an hour a day, 2 to 3 miles, 6 days a week. I lost 9 pounds but then nothing. So I took a look at my diet. I have been in calorie range, usually under. I eat whole wheat everything, very little processed or boxed foods. I drink water, at least four 16 oz Klean Kanten full, usually more, it's Florida, it's hot. I drink yerba tea with honey (I even measure that!) So no empty sugary calories from soda.
... Thu, 13 Apr 2017 00:10:13 EST An avocado smoothie that tastes good http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6340951 I have been eating a kale smoothie for breakfast for about four years now. I went through a lot of different ingredients: protein powders, spirulina, cacao, flax, all kinds of extras. I've tried a lot of different recipes, but they seemed to have a lot of stuff in them, a lot of prep time and just tasted gross.

My basic everyday smoothie was like 2 cups of kale, a banana, a cup of frozen fruit, usually blueberries strawberries and raspberries, a half cup of cottage cheese and a cu... Wed, 29 Mar 2017 19:19:52 EST Feet are feeling sweet! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6340383 First time in a long time that I have no foot pain after a walk. I did 2.42 miles. These are some seriously contained shoes. I wear flip flops pretty much 24/7 and these sneakers have an actual arch and everything lol. My Sauconys do not have anything close. Probably because I got the Cohesion, which is a trail sneaker. Where I walk its sidewalks and sand, I thought they would be OK, but after being in my new Vivonic walking shoes I can really feel the difference. I kind of felt like I was wa... Tue, 28 Mar 2017 19:49:32 EST Ouchy feets http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6339871 I forgot the foot pain from longer distance walks. Last time when I was exercising regularly I had gotten up to a decent pace, more slow jogging than walking. But then I stopped.

I started just doing a mile and a half. Then I figured to make sure I got my butt out the door, If I wanted lotto tickets I was walking to my Racetrac, which is a two-mile round trip walk the short way or a three and a half mile walk the long way.

I've done 44 miles the last 30 days. Mon, 27 Mar 2017 19:49:35 EST Why can't I keep a promise to myself? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6337424 Why do I keep doing this over and over again? Seriously I have been dieting since I was 13, so that's like 36 years. Really? It has recently occurred to me that I must not think I'm that important if I can't do this for myself. I would not tell a family member or a friend I would do something for them then just blow it off. Granted I really did not need to diet at age 13, I had a horse, rode every day, hauled hay around, cleaned stalls, I was always active and had muscles. I just lived in a t... Wed, 22 Mar 2017 14:12:18 EST Eating out is bad, mmkay? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6334516 Went for lunch with my mom and daughter today. We had made plans, so I only ate a Fage greek yogurt for breakfast. My mom loves Chili's so we went there. My mom can be um, quite "difficult" when eating out. I swear the woman has no filter on her mouth and is so loud and rude most times. Going out with her can be pleasant or really aggravating. She is 75 years old and a widow. She believes these two things should allow her special privileges, why I don't know. I didn't even want to go but went... I log through the Lose it! app for food. It works better for me. So, I was finally down below 190, then my son's accident threw me totally off. I went back up to 226, and now I have to re-lose that weight again 198 I'm kinda pissed at myself. It will be two years April 5th. Crazy. Thu, 9 Mar 2017 12:08:41 EST April 2015 blessings and a major hurt http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5931864 April was a bad month for me. My 21 year old son got in a terrible accident Easter eve. His best friend Curtis (who was driving) died at the scene, such a sweet boy, Curtis, his other friend in the back seat broke his neck and suffered spinal injuries, but TG can still walk. My son broke both his arms and a leg, but again TG, was wearing his seat belt, or would have gone through the windshield when the truck flipped over the overpass and dropped 25 feed to the road beneath. Honestly I can't afford to eat like the diet lays out. I also can't eat every 3 hours. Preparing the food was taking up large portion of my work day. Does not fit into my life at all. The good thing to come out of it is I'm more mindful off eating fresh vegges and fruit. I try to have one of each every day. I was thinking my kale and fruit smoothie every morning was good enough, but its not. I eat more cucumbers, less carrots, no dips wi... Sat, 14 Feb 2015 10:13:47 EST Day 8, Phase 1 Fast Metabolism http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5871759 OK I skipped posting a few days due to no time. I loved phase 3. It was a great mixture of all of the phases.

This is a pretty confusing way to eat, all around. I have to constantly check my app for what I'm supposed to be eating. I was almost going to just dump the whole thing altogether but then I was like "Hey, you spent $2.99 on the app, spent all that time reading, researching and shopping, just suck it up and keep going." So I did.

Then my husband came home for... I tend to live in the "now". I don't much see a point in waiting to do something, either you do it or you don't.

I understand waiting to start something if it requires planning, but a few days, maybe a week, I certainly was not waiting for January 1st to roll around to start being healthy. Fri, 30 Jan 2015 09:51:39 EST November Blog Ramble http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5815534 Scale is finally moving! Considering I am walking/jogging 2 to 4 miles a day, measuring portions, staying under my calorie limit, not even eating most of my exercise calories, I was getting a little annoyed with my stubborn fat. I think it was a woman issue, TOM was 14 days late, started having hot flashes like crazy. Guess I'm going into perimenopause, whoopee! I did start taking these awesome pills the nice lady at my GNC recommended: GNC Women's Phyto-Estrogen Formula.

Black Coh... I never got why people were posting 255.4 for their weight. But since I've gotten a digital scale I get it. I just started posting digital weight today. My weight loss has been slow since I started Lose it! back in March. I eat good healthy food, just too much of it! I kept fooling myself that I was eating a serving size but I was a liar big time. Its been like 74 days since I had any grain flours. There is a place that makes the best gyro's and I was out with my husband and we stopped in and ate.
It was delicious but about an hour later my jeans started feeling super tight and I almost fell asleep on the ride home. Its so sad. Used to be a 3 to 6 mile trek was the norm, now 3 miles is a miracle.

I'll get back up there again. I have to. My clothes are starting to get tight. I refuse to go up a size. So I started the past few weeks getting out and doing the walking again. I'm cutting portions.
... Why do we quit our great habits and just stop doing the exercise we know is necessary for good health and weight? Why? Well excuse # 1 for me is I started a business from my home back in September and was working many many hours. I did not think it was going to take me so long to get myself situated. I kept saying "I'll start exercising again soon..."
So my clothes are becoming tighter. I totally refuse to go up a size. I had a coup... Not actively losing due to lack of exercise, but not gaining back, so maintaining. Decided last night to walk 2. 5 miles a day starting today. I'm hoping if I start on January 1st the thought of breaking my streak will keep me going. It works with SP. I come here every single day to spin the wheel. I think I missed one day in the past 2 & half years

I want to see what the e... Tue, 1 Jan 2013 09:43:05 EST Where did October go?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5128321 I can't believe we are into November already! I have been working my butt off (I wish that was literally true). I've added about 500 books into my inventory. It is a lot of work because I scan the book cover, have to research the book to see what its selling for, add it to my inventory program and post it to Amazon, my website, Barns & Noble, Half.com and Biblio.com. I use a program that posts to all of them at one time, except for Amazon which is a hell unto itself.

I'm also selli... Not if you are doing it as a business and are keeping records.

Figuring out the best practices, posting on different venues, learning all the rules, its really time intensive.

I spend from 6 am to usually 9 pm, on the computer, adding new books, uploading corrections, researching prices, posting, reading, adding things. I have a background in ecommerce, site building, marketing. I thought it would be easier for me. Nope, its not.
<B... Yes I will get up and make the coffee because if he makes it its too weak!

I would like to have it start by itself but our Bunn coffee pot has no automatic start,... Wed, 19 Sep 2012 10:31:00 EST Forty day memorial service http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5032770 Sunday we had the forty day memorial service for my MIL. W had to drive the 90 miles to Clearwater for the service at the Greek church. Thankfully her friend Maria, did the kollyva, (a boiled wheat dish), and paximadia (cookie), that is served after church. It was a long hour and a half service, mostly because it was 95% in Greek and as I had only been to a Greek service maybe 4 times, I had no clue what was going on because the other timers my MIL was there explaining what was going on. <BR...
