THANK YOU, MARSHA!

I reached goal about a month ago, on April 1st. So I am very new to maintaining. I lost about 20 - 25 lbs in the years before I discovered Beck and fluctuated between 3 - 12 lbs over goal for YEARS more. Once I found Beck, read it and worked it, the last 12 lbs came off easily. Last night I was reading Day 30, Eat Out with Ease.

She gives some good tips for eating out and they mostly involve PLANNING.

The last tip on this page is the FIRST THING TO DO WHEN EATING OUT!

Decide in advance how many calories (or whatever you are counting) you are going to have when you eat out. Meanwhile, I'm carrying around my soft back Beck book (Pink). I originally bought a used hardcover Beck book, but I am partial to soft back books simply because I like the feel of them in my hand and they are easier to flip through, forward and back. This is important when you have a book that is a reference book, a study guide, something you don't just read from start to finish and be done with it. And I like this book so much I bought a new soft b... I'm good with this. Five pounds is half of what I set out to lose anyway, and just working my way through this book and thinking more, I'm almost to that first 5 pound goal.
