Aunt Sadie is coming to town

Friday, February 08, 2008

Aunt Sadie is on her way! I know it, I just know it, cause I want to eat everything in sight! It's going to be a LONG weekend! I think I will just sleep, I don't eat when I sleep, well obviously. I think if sleeping was an Olympic event, I would win a gold metal every time. I'm really good at it! I think it's going to come down to lots of napping or lots of snacking and I don't want to snack. PMS I curse you! PMS I bind you from doing harm to me! (I watched The Craft last night, can you tell) Someone needs to really invent that gum that taste like a complete meal on Willie Wonka, just fix that kink with the blueberry pie. (Damn I'm watching to much TV, probably explains a lot about the size of my ass) Okay, I'm a little neurotic at this point, jumping from sleep to the Olympics, to Witch Craft, to Willie Wonka, clearly I'm in full PMS mode.......GOD HELP ME!

Chocolate...mmmm... that's what I want at that time of the month! Solution: Fudgsicles (40 cals a piece), 100 calorie hershey's dark chocolate bars (break it up into little pieces and eat slow!), weight watchers mocha fudge sundaes (160), weight watchers chocolate eclairs (140 cals), and stay away from cookies if at all possible! LOL. For the salty, crunchy craving... popcorn. Can eat a whole bag and it's still only like 120 calories. Another thing I do is read, read, read... I get lost in books and forget what time it is. Stay away from commercials, they absolutely drive me to the fridge. I have become an annoying channel flipper to avoid commercials about food. LOL. Resistance is down that time of the month. Good luck!

Dude...I have some PMS snack cures! I am here to help. Step away from the cookies!!!!!! Ok, for the salty-sweet thing...100 calorie bag of pretzels, sugar free dark chocolate pudding cup...voila! Chocolate covered pretzels. If you're into comfort food like me, in a small-ish baking dish (pie pan if you can resist eating all of it)...frozen hash browns (southern style cube like), then top with a little canned vegetarian chili and some low fat shredded cheddar. pop it in the oven at 350 until the cheese melts and bubbles. ta-da a healthier cheddar cheese fry. and for my final trick...if you have the " i just need to shove stuff in " mindset, air popped popcorn or natural popcorn. mmmmmmm. And have a nice hibernation!
