Thoughts on my new role as a Team Leader

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

I've recently become one of the Team Leaders for All Health Professionals SparkTeam (see link), and had these thoughts while posting to another team leader.

I think many of us can relate to hitting rock bottom by having allowed our lives get so out of control that it takes a supreme act of will to pick up that teaspoon and start digging at the mountain of roadblocks which seems to stand in our way.

Funny thing is, it doesn't take long before positive change becomes contagious. A little pocket of orderliness in the house begins to spread to other parts of the house and...whoa, soon we're losing a pound here and there and...hey, look at that fridge full of healthy, fresh food!

The wonderful thing about SP is that we see all around us in our virtual SP world many success stories of people like ourselves who have tamed, subdued and vanquished our "mountains." Newcomers realize that we don't have to give into our "mountains," that there truly is hope for ALL of us looking to reclaim control of our lives.

I think all SP members begin to take on this role, but especially as a Team Leader I aspire to bring hope to my SparkTeam members by holding onto and celebrating the hope my own life.

Thank you for putting time and effort into being a team leader! I'm sure you have and will continue to touch more people's lives than you know. You've already motivated me, and I just found your SparkPage less than an hour ago. :)
