At long last, I have finally broken through the 250 barrier! Lost 4 pounds this week, dropping to 248...!
Woo hoo! Bumping up the intensity of my cardio paid off this week! I read somewhere here at SP that if you rev up your speed at the BEGINNING of your workout, you get more benefits from keeping your heart rate up higher for longer periods of time.
So I've been making sure each time I finish my treadmill routine that I leave my mp3 player set to play a Rockout, Movin' tune! This serves to remind me when I start my routine the next day that I've got to put the pedal to the metal right away...instead of my old pattern which was to gradually build up my speed.
Today it was Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run"...yesterday it was The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again"...great stuff to pick up the pace!
