I have been at a plateau for the last 3 months. I have made some improvements but I know I am not consistent enough. I do drink more water and exercise more and I definitely fel stronger. I'm hoping this challenge will get me going again. Writing this blog will help me be accountable.
1/20//o8: Went to the grocery store to buy food I need for the challenge. The food plan looks good, something I should be able to do and my family will enjoy too.
1/21/08: Day 1. Starting weight 160.8. I did the Walk Slim 3 Fast miles and did well with the food plan. I did have a small serving of rice at dinner (1/4 C) although it was not on the plan. Evenings are the most difficult. My husband has never had a weight problem and always snacks in the evening. I was craving something, and thought about choices and decided to have a cup of Swiss Miss No sugar added hot chocolate made with skim milk. It satisfied me.
1/22/08: Day 2. Weight 159.6 this morning. WATP Express Super Challenge 4 mile. Did well with the meal plan. Still find craving food when I get home from work and in the evening. Had hot chocolate in the evening again. That satisfies my love of chocolate and desire to eat. I'm trying to pay more attention to whether I feel hungry when I want to eat something. My step count yesterday was 11609! That was great for me.
1/23/08: Day 3. Weight this morning 159.8. That's OK. Small fluctuations don't upset me. Food plan this AM was 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast, that's double what I usually would eat. Maybe I'll stay full longer. I'm often hungry by 11:00 AM. Well I did well following the food plan today. 3 mile weight loss walk today
1/24/08: Day 4. Weight this AM 158.8. Walk Slim 4 fast miles
1/25/08: Day 5. Weight 158.8 3 miles of the advanced 5 mile walk. Halfway there
1/26/08: Day off. Weight 158.4. Ended up working a long day today. Never got to do a Leslie walk. My husband and daughter were watching the TV
1/27/08: Day off. Weight 158.4. Never got to a walk today. I have next week off and had a lot of paperwork and loose ends to tie up. I was careful about what I ate. That will be the hard part next week because I plan to meet with friends and eat out several times.
1/28/08: Day 6 finally. Weight 158.4 Walk Slim 3 fast miles. Had lunch out with a friend. Had a wrap and substituted salad for the fries.
1/29/08: Day 7: 158.4 5 mile Advanced Walk. First time I have done all 5 miles
1/30/08: Day 8. Weight158.2 Fast Firming.
1/31/08: Day 9. Weight 158.2 Walk Slim 4 Fast miles. This is becoming one of my favorites. I am able to do a little of the jogging. This challenge also helped me meet my January Challenge in My Walking/Leslie sparkgroup
2/1/08: Day 10 Weight 158.2 3 mile weght loss
Well I completed the challenge. Total weight loss 2.6 pounds and 1/2 inch off each thigh. I did learn some new ideas for meals. At least I am now below 160. I need to try to stay there and gradually continue the weight loss. Will probably do this again if I start to stray. I just bought her WATP book which has a 6 week program. This will be my next step. I started reading it. Leslie is so motivating and upbeat. It comes thru in her wrods.
