Brookiebombs workout schedule on hold due to surgery

Sunday, January 06, 2008

Hello everyone i figured i should post a little blog as to why i havent logged any fitness hours this year. After a long night in the ER on new years they discovered i have 2 pea sized kidney stones. the cause they belive is from the water i have been drinking which is too high in oxalte and calcium even though i run it through a filter. Anyways, as you can imagine they are to large to pass and im in A LOT of pain. Im schduled for surgery on monday the 7th and im sure i will have a smooth and easy recovery and be back to the gym before i know it. I miss working out SO badly right now. and unfortently i have had to wait to have the procedure due to i live in a small town and insurance reasons. Monday will be here before i know it and i will be as good as new :) in the mean time everyone keep up the great work and keep reaching for those goals, you will all be there before you know it :)

Ouch...sorry to hear about the stones.

I'm glad to hear that you're drinking so much water though. I'd bet the positive health effects of doing that far outweigh a little setback like this.

Best wishes an the surgery and a speedy recovery.

Hi, I had kidney stones before, they really hurt!! Do you have an infection with it or just stones- if you have an infection with the stones it may take you a little longer to recover!! How are they doing the surgery? Are they removing the stones or crushing them with shockwaves? Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
