End of year thoughts

Sunday, December 30, 2007

23 years ago today; out came Jonny! I had a dream about him last night that he came into the room and was only about 4 years old. When I asked him why he was there he said "it's my birthday". I told him he was older than that; and he just gave me a funny look and said, how old am I? I told him about nine?????? Yep, I want a dream analysis STAT! Besides that, I'm happy that I've only gained one pound over the holidays, now that it's all said and done (and the fudge is all gone!!) I feared much worse. I've adjusted my tracker and know I have slacked of the worst with the exercise. Looking forward to better success in 2008.

This was an interesting dream! Did you ever get it analyzed. I'd be curious to know.

One way I know of analyzing a dream is to make yourself a character of your dream. You would make yourself Jonny and say "my name is Jonny and I am so happy. I feel..." When I do this - I find the feelings and such truly apply to my current state of affairs.

Best advice I ever got was the SP founders advice who said to start a streak of eating healthy and working out. Starting tomorrow write on a sticky note the number 1 and then if you eat healthy and do your exercises the next day cross out the number 1 and write down the number 2. Each day do this and see how long you can stretch that streak out. I have tried and failed many times but using this method I stayed on track this year and have lost over half of my goal weight. Good luck on your weight loss journey!
