Two SparkPeople Members on E!. The final two airings of the special are: January 24 at 3pm EST and January 31 at 9am, be sure to tune-in to the E! network.

The final segment of the E! True Hollywood Story Investigates: Diet Fads special includes interviews with SparkPeople members Kristina (Ekham05) and Tina (Teanaz1), who discuss how SparkPeople has helped them create a healthy lifestyle and overcome the rollercoaster of fad dieting.

Watching this special with your friends and family will help you get everyone on board with you for a healthier 2008!

(Previous airings were: January 5 at 5pm EST, January 6 at noon & 8pm, January 10 at 8pm and January 12 at noon.)

    I first heard of SparkPeople through a repeat on Nov, 19, 2008 of E! True Hollywood Story Investigates: Diet Fads. I've only been a member for a couple of days, but already I am so inspired and motivated. No more crash or fad diets for me!     This was the show that got me to join sparkpeople!!!!!!! I literally only watched if for about 2 minutes and then they mentioned sparkpeople.com and I was like "self, get of the couch right now and go check out it out!" and so I did and already I'm much happier for it!

    Seeing this website and listening to the people that were using it is why I joined SPARKPEOPLE. In the past two weeks, I have referred four people to this website. So far one has joined and the three others say they are planning on joining, I sure hope they do. This is one of the best online programs that I have seen our used. It is very user friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for starting this website.

I've been logging on to SparkPeople for a while now but just recently been doing some digging around. Anyway I came across the blog where they are talking about a show on Thurs. on E. What is E. I live in Canada & not sure that I have the required channel. Do you know what channel it will be on???

    I am so happy to be part of the Sparks life style. I tell every one I meet about Sparks and I have even signed some up. I love to tell people how I am losing this weight and becoming HEALTHY too. These programs are terrific to spread the WORD, and I know that there are going to be a lot more HEALTH people in this world with the HELP of SPARKS.

    I am proud to say that Kristina is on my SP Biggest Loser Challenge Team and we are just so excited to have a "celebrity" among us. I've known Kristina (through the BLC) for almost a year and she's such an inspiration and friend to us all. She did tell us she wished they aired more of what SP is about seeing how her and Tina were both interviewed for about an hour each. So it really was E! that decided what they were going to air. They talked about a lot and it just wasn't shown.

    WoW! Great Show. I am curious how many new members our site will recieve after this very insightful segment. SparkGuy...if you're reading these...Thank You For your magnanamous decision to start such an educational, motivational, inspirational, and incredibly supportive community and all for FREE! You do understand however that there could be one bad side effect to all of these pounds being lost for good though don't you? The Earth may start spinning faster due to the many, many pounds that are being lost and who knows perhaps cause some sort of natural disaster :D Thank you for trying to make America healthier and happier.   Good info jumped on my cp and joined still learning on how to use it. I to am trying to lose weight and it had been an on set struggle for the past year. I will use this and cross my fingers on how to be fit and happu.

    I caught the E! show, it really opened my eyes as to the desperate lengths people will go to lose weight--like the 14 year old girl who had multiple lipo operations and of course the tapeworm guy.... I could NOT believe he was serious!
That was how I found out about Sparkpeople what an amazing place. I am so impressed. This place exudes enthusiasm!I am so happy to have found you all.
I have a good fifty pounds to lose and I feel now I have a fighting chance

    ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! I watched it and recorded it! Shows that awareness doesn't alway lead to be best choices! Spark is the bomb! I

am curious, too, on how the wonderful ladies were chosen. They mentioned the Amazing Race in their futures (Team 150, I think). Please keep us abreast of their progress. I wish them and everyone at Spark all the best in their endeavors cause clearly, we are doing the right things!

    Our PR manager headed up this story and connected them. SparkPeople is growing so fast and helping create so many success stories the healthy way that all kinds of huge media outlets are getting interested in doing stories. We have several other big ones coming up - we'll keep you posted!

    Garint, I wish they could have talked longer also, but I was glad to see that they were on at the end of the show. I thought it was important that they ended the show with a healthy alternative to all the other approaches. It was the last thing that people saw and as CrzyCatlady pointed out, the segement was long enough for others to catch the website name AND they were now free to move to the computer!

    I noticed online that it will re-air twice on Sunday noon and 8pm EST. I was really impressed with the segment. It may not have gone into much detail about all SP has but it was more than enough that I bet we see a bunch of new members.

    I was very proud to see how positively they presented Sparkpeople, I just wish that they would've gone into more detail about the Sparkstages, told about Sparkrecipes.com, and explained that you don't have to use the meal plan suggested if you don't want to, and about all the articles on every health & fitness topic you can imagine. There is so much good about Sparkpeople, and they barely scratched the surface!!

    It was a great program. I think out of all of the methods of weight loss discussed, SparkPeople was the ONLY one that showed no negative facets, only positive. Those women did a great job of representing SP and I'm proud to be a member and part of this wonderful support network!

    OMG who would ever voluntarily use a tapeworm, I guess that guy! Yuk. I thought most of it was eye opening and well done for the sparkpeople segment (although short) WE ARE AWESOME Woohoo Team SPARK!
