So, I haven't put anything on the blog, because the debt reduction plan - not working so well. I am still working two jobs, I am still trying so hard to get those paid down, and we are not making a single dent!!!

Now here it is Christmas, we are working tons, and we still don't have money for presents. Grrrr!!!

Looking back over the blogs from the past year, I could see my own progression, so although I am frustrated right now, I decided I wanted this feeling documented. :)

That way, when things are more positive, I will see that I didn't have any reason to worry...

hey Jen! Keep up the good work. We did the same thing. Now we are debt FREE!! (Well, mortgage left is all) Money can't control us! The freedom feeling is totally worth the effort! The snowball effect will start to pay off. The dents may be barely visible right now, just wait and see. My hubby used a free website to calculate how everything gets paid down. So each month we would see our progress. Sometimes it didn't look like any movement, but then we'd check and it would move our "debt free day" up 2 months. Call it your G.O.O.D. Life. (Get Out Of Debt) Don't worry so much about presents for others. When you're debt-free you'll buy them whatever you want!!! Give something like a "cookie of the month club" you bake cookies once a month. Not too costly, yet something to look forward to all year long! Hang in there. I know it sucks getting started and is slow going at first. But YOU and your hubby are TOTALLY worth it!!!!!!!!! You can always ask for help on how to keep a single shoestring budget.

hugs, goldie

hi jen! being broke sucks... trust me, as a single mom paying bloody child support to a loser who can't be bothered to buy basic items, i'm constantly broke. there's light at the end of the tunnel though sweetie! take care of yourself even though you're working so hard... trade backrubs; take a bubble bath; do some simple aromatherapy or pet a cat! :) it's important to de-stress. happy holidays- remember, it's about the spirit of the season! i'm making most of my gifts! if they don't like 'em then feck 'em! :)
