I am currently loving my new body. Even though I still have some lbs ti lose, and some toning still to do, I am rather pleased with the current me.
I have decided to share my secrets, and maybe, they will help someone else find their own little secrets...
I start my day with a cup of tea, green or black.
My breakfasts, which I have had the most difficulty in eating consists of the following foods: Cheerios, cantaloupe, wheat toast, sausage patty, biscuit/gravy, scrambled egg, 3 strips bacon, peanut butter, waffle/w syrup, 1/2 c milk for cereal only. I try to eat something different daily from the above foods except the cantaloupe, that gets eaten at least 1/2 hour before EVERY meal.
Lunches are my biggest meal. I will eat what most people eat for supper...roast, potatoes, carrots, onions, pork loin, dressing, cranberry sauce, brown rice, chicken breasts (only), red beans and rice, chili, burritos, chicken pot pie, chicken stew, vegetable beef soup, etc.
Then I have my snack...chocolate it doesn't matter what kind of food, as long as it is dark chocolate.
For supper, this is when I have my salads...lettuce, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, carrot, radish, green onion.
My breads usually are homemade wheat. Everything I eat is freshly made.
I do not drink anything but water with a meal. Anything else retards the digestion process, especially if you drink milk (unhealthy).
My drinks consist of Tea (when I get up, and before bed), 1 dew juice (1 12 oz mountain dew mixed with 3 oz of my favorite juice (cranberry, cran-grape, etc.), and 5-7 cups of water. My dew juice is for my sweet tooth, and my caffeine need.
I try not to eat anything after 7 p.m., but on those occasions when I have to be up a little later than normal, I will snack on broccoli flowerettes, cauliflower, or popcorn made the old fashion way on top of the stove.
Every 1-2 hours, I will try to get in 10-15 reps of some type of exercise (wall squats, lunges, etc.), and around 10 p.m., I will turn up the music and spend at least 1/2 hour dancing to all my favorite songs. Most days, I will dance while vacuuming, doing dishes, folding laundry, grocery shopping, etc., so, I get most of my exercise needs.
So far, this is what has been working for me...I have those months when I plateau, and when I do, I will take a cold shower 2 nights for 2 weeks, this seems to get the body motivated to keep warm and will start burning a few more calories, then I am off the plateau.
jThe hardest part of all this is trying to eat the minimum required 1200 calories, Usually 4-5 bites into a meal, and I am full. Makes for lots of leftovers...hehee
Well, there is my daily routine, sort of...as close to a routine as possible anyway.
Hope you are successful...and Happy
