Today at work, after I had been feeling so crappy about everything, I recieved a letter from a family member in the mail. It was the daughter of a resident that was new and she came from California to help her father adjust himself and her mother in the nursing home. She wrote that she was pleasently surprised when I asked her and her parents if they would like to join us in our Saturday afternoon Arts and Crafts. She went on to say how it was hard not to feel comfortable in the fact that her mother would be living there due to my "Loving Personality" and how much love and compassion I show my residents. She also stated that it was amazing to see my "Following" waiting outside my room for Arts and Crafts to start. She said that she stood there listening to them talking about how excited they were to see what I had in store for them to do. She said that it has been easier for her and her sisters to deal with the fact that they had put her mother in a nursing home due to the fact that she knew that I would be there to make everyday a happier one.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!!
That letter completely validates that what I am doing there is completely worth it.
