PLATEAU?

Monday, November 12, 2007

WELL, TODAY WAS WEIGH IN ON MY PINK SHRINKERS TEAM. MY NORMAL WEIGHT LOSS IS BETWEEN 2-4 POUNDS. I ONLY LOST 1 POUND THIS WEEK, WHICH IS FINE, AND A POUND IS A POUND! :) HOWEVER, I MAY NEED TO START DOING SOMETHING NEW, THAT WAS ONE TOUGH POUND TO LOSE AFTER ALL THE WORK I'VE DONE, AND BEEN IN CALORIE RANGE ALL WEEK. WHICH IS FINE, I ENJOY TRYING NEW THINGS. ACTUALLY I WOKE UP AT 2 A.M AND WAS DREAMING ABOUT THIS NEW WEIGHTLOSS WORKOUT, TURNS OUT THERE WAS AN INFOMERCIAL ON. LOL. IT'S CALLED THE FIRM. AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING I WOULD REALLY LIKE, NOW TO CONVINCE MY HUSBAND TO GET IT FOR ME.... IT'S 2 PAYMENTS OF 29.95 WHICH ISN'T BAD AT ALL. YOU GET LOADS OF STUFF.SO I'M REALLY HOPING HE'LL GET IT FOR ME!!!
ANYWAY, I HAVE REALLY BEEN CRAVING SOME EGGS,SAUSAGE AND PANCAKES! I HELD OFF UNTIL AFTER WEIGH IN BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE I WANT TO SACRIFICE THAT ONE POUND! BUT IT'S BEEN TWO MONTHS SINCE I'VE HAD A REAL BREAKFAST!! IF I DO SPLURGE I WILL HAVE A WEIGHT LOSS SHAKE FOR LUNCH AND A SALAD FOR DINNER WITH CHICKEN, MAYBE THEN IT WON'T LOOK SO BAD! AND I WILL MAKE SURE I GET IN 60 MIN OF CARDIO.
ON THE CELEBRATION SIDE, I GET TO JOIN 200 VILLE TODAY! WOO HOO!

Michelle is right. A pound is a pound. And good job! :) I know what you mean about breakfast. Our tradition was always to have a big breakfast with the kids every Sunday....so when we started this I was a tad nervous about what to do. But now, they have whatever the want for a few weeks.....and I have an egg white omlette with reduced fat cheese and topped with black bean salsa (The entire thing is like 100 calories. I also have some fruit and two links of either turkey sausage or bacon (Depending on what the kids and John are having that morning). They get their pancakes, and I still get to enjoy Sunday breakfast with them and not feel bad about it. Every few weeks though, it's MY turn. I have found some amazing recipes on here for breakfast. I pick something that the kids never know is healthy (the Awesome Breakfast Casserole and the Bisquick Breakfast Balls are my favorite).

1 lb is 1 lb! Better than nothing! =) Trying something new is always good and usually keeps you motivated. I try turkey sausage too... pretty much tastes the same to me. If you keep your menu varied and include things you really want into your calories for the day than it won't really be splurging and you will continue to stay on track. If I crave chocolate I grab for semi-sweet chocolate chips. Works every time! For ice cream cravings you can go to McDonald's and get a cone for 150 calories or an individual pre-portioned cup of ice cream for 100 calories! I don't do without unless it's a food full of fat or full of sugar, just plan ahead, it's worked for me. We go out to eat a lot and so planning for that is important that I leave enough calories for it and choose the right foods. There's a neat chart I have marked as a favorite that attacks those cravings.. gives you better choices instead of grabbing for the exact thing you want and it fulfills that craving too. Check it out

When I do breakfast, I usually get egg beaters and turkey sausage then I don't feel so bad. Some times you just need to get it out of your system.

If there was only one thing I could pass on to all my fellow sparkers, it would be that there are not any NO NO foods, only O O foods (on occassion and in moderation). If your craving a big breakfast, plan for it and keep it in moderation....you'll be fine! Do it on a day you will be doing your cardio routine.......this isn't about denial....denying oneself will only lead to one hum dinger of a binge....and welcome to the "real lifestyle world"! tee hee

200 ville is a great place to be. It is so close to Onederland. Switch things up a bit and you'll be back to 2 pounds a week.
