Life's getting hectic in preparing to leave town for the next week to visit my son in Grand Rapids, MI. He's completing a year in a surgical residency and his birthday is on Halloween.

We'll be staying with my son so there won't be any treadmill available and my 'net access is liable to be limited (depending on whether we can use wi-fi @ the hospital) so you may not see me posting as often over the next week, but I'll be out there pounding the pavement every morning getting my cardio!! Looking forward to exploring the city. Bringing my resistance tubes and dumb bells too.

In the absense of my treadmill I've been out and about walking through the downtown Grand Rapids, MI area with my shorts and t-shirt every morning in the 40-some degree (F) temps as I get so hot so fast I don't feel the chill. Gloriously clear blue sunny skies! It's been terrific jumping into the city life watching all the goings-on as the city gets in full gear.

Trying to stick to my plans...but have indulged a bit here and there. I figure I'll just buckle down when I get back to re-coup my losses.

Have a GREAT time, Don! My parents live near Grand I am very jealous! I grew up in a little town called Spring Lake (Michigan), it's just south of Muskegon. I have been away for 21 years, but it's still HOME to me. I miss it terribly! One day, I hope to live there again...but ENJOY your time with your son, and great job on commiting to a routine even before you go! You can do it!
