Well I can't say for sure I know exactly what it means but I just past the 10,000 points mark for my SparkPoints! I feel a bit of pride even though there's no monetary reward or group of people standing and applauding. I was curious about the points from the beginning but didn't pay that much attention just kept inputting my nutrition, fitness, reading articles, posting messages, etc.
I think it's something to aim for... a goal. If you don't set goals you won't reach them. I wanted to reach 10,000 and bingo I did it! Week one it seemed years away but now I've hit it and I'm moving on to the next goal.
Just like our weight or fitness goals. This site is full of so many tools and so much encouragement along the path, it makes it a more enjoyable and bearable journey AND there's a record of it all to look back on and for others to see and to use to help them on their way as well.
Not sure exactly what the points are for... but they mean a lot!
