I promise myself...

Friday, September 28, 2007

I promise that this weekend I will stick with my plan.

I promise I will not have more than 2 pieces of chocolate on any given day.

I promise I will make sure I get my water in. It's the one habit I started that I have kept up nearly flawlessly for several months. That's a good habit I need to keep!

I promise to keep my calories and carbs under my own personal limits, which is when I feel my best.

I promise that the calories and carbs I do get will come from healthy sources... good lean meats, fish, chicken and low carb veggies such as romaine, mushrooms, peppers, onions, broccoli, spinach, greens, green beans, asparagus, etc.

I promise I will get in at least 15 minutes of any type of exercise each day.

I promise I will not revert to old habits just because holidays are coming up.

I promise to continue changing my bad habits to good ones.

Looking ahead to this weekend (yes I know, it's only Tuesday). I promise myself to do something active outside, enjoy the beautiful Fall leaves, and remember to praise God for all of the glourious sites that I tend to take for granted.

You know, I really don't care about going nuts on Saturday.... just as long as I get my butt in gear on Sunday... you know what I mean? So, keep your promises at least 6 days out of the week... but do the water thing 7 days out of the week... and I think you'll do great. I'm not trying to mess you and your promises up... but, you know... let your hair down a little once in a while. Just don't go crazy! LOL

Jane, do you have espn? LOL! Really. I did mess up and break my own promise to myself this weekend. I am weak and gave in to temptation. But alas, Today is a great new Day ONE to begin again and once again renew those promises to myself. They aren't just for the weekend, they are for the rest of my life!

Having a plan is a good thing and being committed to making it work goes a long way. Good luck to you this weekend.

Good for you! Weekends aren't really my downfall, its visiting my parents house. Tonight we went for my dad's birthday and my mom made scrumptious cheesecake. My dad asked me to have some, just tonight, and I had to tell him no. It made me feel bad but I had to do it, for me. Our will power is what helps us win this battle. *Heidi*
