My first day after Vacation

Monday, September 24, 2007

I just got home yesterday from Florida and the best vacation ever. I just threw on some clothes, put my hair in a pony and took my daughter to the bus stop. I talked to one of my walking friends on base and she told me she is sick and can't walk today, so I told her that I probably wasn't going to either cause I am still tired and just wanted to relax. Soo I drive home and get breakfast for my son and I and we start eating. Well 3 bites into it my phone rings. Its my friend Heather. "You ready to go walking??" And you know....how can you say no. Right??! ITs accountability and I slowly told her yeah....lemme finish my breakfast and I am on my way. So I finish and head out. We walked 2 miles and remember its not that easy fo me but I did it and I feel really good. Thank Jesus I was able to do that!

Good for you for getting out there and walking.
You know when we ask for God's help, he will push at times we don't think we want to, and that is what happen to you when your friend called.
Sometimes I think we are tested just to see if we really want what we asked for.
I am so proud that you finished breakfast and went for a 2 mile walk, and once it was over you could say you got it done and out of the way.....HipsHipsAway!!

Where in Florida did you go? I live in Florida, I live on the gulf coast...a small town called North Port, I moved here from Sarasota about 1.5 years ago, I still work in Sarasota, but it is a 40 minute drive 1 way so I only work the weekends.

Again, Congrats on getting that walk out of the way.
God's Blesssings to you and yours,
    Patty
