So I've been reading any and all advice on how to conceive. I've been trying on and off since January. I would love to lose more weight before gaining a bunch back through pregnancy, but I really want to have a baby now! I've wanted one for so long that I'm starting to yearn and seeing babies or toddlers out in public is really pulling at my heart strings.

I'm ovulating until the 9th, so I'm really hoping it happens this cycle. If not, I will just read more I guess for next month!

congrats on TTC, I had my first daughter I was over 200lbs, I only gained about 10 pounds overall...I ended up having a c section but when I got out of the hospital I was 35 lbs under my starting weight! so I actually lost alot of weight (that was 2 years ago and of course I gained it back)...ANYWAYS we will be TTC too as soon as I get a little more weight off. GOOD LUCK It took us about a year to get pregnant with our first, but keep trying it will be the best thing you ever do!

Good luck! If you are cautious, the weight gain needn't be excessive. Keep us updated!

    Hi Kim,
just to let you know, When you are over weight already you really do not need to gain much at all to have a healthy baby. My daughter is 5 months. I was so upset when i found out I was prego, because i could not imagine anymore weight added on to my already over 200 lb body. I literally only put on 3 lbs. The whole pregnancy. when I had the baby I actually lost weight. So it can be done. my baby weighed 7lbs 8oz
