"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
I am often asked, as is anyone who has succeeded at weight loss, the burning question of "How did you do it?" With hope in their eyes and anticipation in their voice, they ask. I think they expect some "miracle" answer like I took magic pills or ate only cake and ice cream.
My answer is always the same..."Hard work, sacrifice, patience and faith." As soon as I say the words, their eyes go blank and their smile fades. The ones that truly want to do the work then ask me specifics about my plan and I can see desire in their eyes. Those are the ones that I talk to. The others, the ones who want a magic pill, I don't bother with. They are not ready to do the work.
The simple fact is that it is WORK to lose weight. It is about patience, perseverence, setting goals, following through, sacrificing what you want now for what you want to be, and the faith that if you do these things it will happen.
Do the work and it will work for you.
Take care of yourselves. :)
