Hello,
I am Marilyn. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by spring. I am excited because today when I stepped on the scale I lost 1.8 pounds. WOW! I hope to lose 2 pounds a week! Do you think that is rationale. Well, GOOD LUCK to everyone.

    I am back after taking a long break for sparkpeople. I just love this site, but have a hard time staying on a diet. I have one year to lose 50 pounds before my daughter's wedding. I do hope I can stay on this diet. I have be doing really good for these last three weeks. I have lost 3 pounds, but that is all. I decided my goal is to lose 1 pound a week, which would be 52 pounds in a year. I hope I can hang in there. emoticon emoticon

    Hi Marilyn. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by my birthday, which is in April. I joined SparkPeople last week, and I also lost 2 pounds on my first week with 48 lbs to go. It seems we have parallel goals!

    I lost weight a few years ago, but the lost pounds found me again. This time the pounds are going to the blubber graveyard, where they will be entombed forever. Anyway, when I lost weight before, I averaged 1.75 pounds per week. Some weeks I lost nothing. Other weeks I lost 4 pounds or more. On average, 2 pounds a week is a reasonable goal.
