Getting it under control

I've lost weight before, twice. Why is it so hard to do it again? I can't stand these extra 20 pounds, but daily I sabatage my own efforts by binging on snacks and overeating at my meals. I am getting so frustrated.
I found a site yesterday that allows me to track my pedometer miles and bike miles to trek across the US. I am now 45 miles into Virginia. Maybe this will be insentive to keep moving. This link is : exercise.lbl.gov
This should be kind of fun. It got me to ride 7 miles on my stationary bike that I probably would not have done without this site.
