I started last week very down. I was going to a wedding that I had been trying to lose weight for. After months of trying I still weighed the same. On Monday I had a meltdown and cried to my husband that I was dreading the weekend with his very athletic and judgemental family. I didn't think He would understand (he has six pack abs and fitter than most men half his age) Instead he took me shopping (yes a man went shopping) to help me pick out a dress. We found one the was very flattering but IMO way too expensive. He bought the dress and took the receipt so that I could not return it.
The wedding lasted all weekend. The rehearsal was wonderful. I avoided all of the heavy foods and fortunately didn't care for the dessert. Saturday morning ate a breakfast that matched my SP meal plan and had a chicken cesaer salad for lunch. In between Hubby and I went to the gym with BIL and SIL. I didn't work as hard as I would at home cuz it was awkward not being at my gym. Nevertheless my ABS were sore the next day.
The wedding was amazing. It was in a castle. I felt good about myself in my dress. I haven't lost any weight but my arms don't jiggle so much anymore so I wasn't self conscious about them. For dinner I choose the sea bass instead of the less healthy other choices. All of the dancing we did(and we danced a lot) was a great cardio workout. I did cave at dessert with the most amazing dessert buffet I had ever seen. It took up two rooms in the castle.
Next day was back to the castle for brunch. SP has helped me make eating healthy a habit. I had a well balanced breakfast and the thought of eating the greasy bacon and sausage that I would have enjoyed in the past was very unappealing to me.
The next morning at home I weighed and I hadn't gained anything! I had even enjoyed being with my in-laws. MIL even said she really enjoyed spending time with us and our kids. She is much closer to her daughters than my husband sothey don't see us as much.
