It has been really nice this past month or so since I started at my transfer. I have been getting home at normal hours and enjoying life at a normal pace. But now I need to reset my body clock in a few areas. The worst is that I got accustomed to eating dinner at 10; well if you leave work at 9pm then you get to eat dinner that late! So that rut is the basis for my first 2 challenges: start workday evening workouts by 7pm and here is going to be the most daunting of all: lights out at midnight. If I can achieve that last one then I may have to change my moniker to better rested mom of 2!
The third challenge folds in well with my workouts and was suggested by a cute young stud that works in my building. So here is what happened yesterday afternoon: I strolled down to the kitchen area at work to fill up my water bottle. Alas, the water cooler is as dry as the Sahara! But my knight in shining armor (cute young stud I mentioned earlier! Not that I am looking, mind you! After all, I am happily married!) happens to be washing his lunch dishes. So I remove the empty water jug, roll over the next 5 gallon jug (approx weight: 40 lbs) and give cute young stud a really big smile! So he smiles back and says he will replace the jug for me. We then start talking about the technique involved in replacing the water jug and the next thing, he suggests that since I work out, I should work my way up to being able to replace the water jug. All right! I accept your challenge!
So there you go! My 3 personal challenges are to start my workday evening workouts by 7pm, lights out by midnight, and be able to replace the 5 gallon water jug in the kitchen at work! As I always say, onward and upward!!
