New plan

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Well, After slacking this past week on exercise and eating. and seeing the scale drop. I think I am going to try and see if I can just eat better foods and not track calories for a while, and concentrate more on my exercise. Just burn away everything. I will try this for a few weeks and see how it goes. my plan is to try and eat more fruits and veggies (usually pretty low) during the day, along with my water, yogurt, and then a regular dinner at night with the family. Then make sure I do at least 30 minutes of something every morning and if possible add in additional cardio at lunch, or even after dinner.
Something has to give and drop the LBS. I do know I am looking better, because I can fit into some shorts that are 7 years old and a size 8. Even though the new pants I try on are about a 12. There are a few areas that need some good toning as well.

Well, that's it for today.

Beckie - I'm sure happy to see you again! I have missed you and the rest of the ol' gang. Sometimes, we worry so much about the dumb numbers that we cannot see the forrest for the trees. Tracking calories can become burdensome and depressing. It's a wonderful tool to have when you are first starting to learn about foods, but to do it everyday is tough.

I was a basket case about the scale thing - Do you know what worked for me? I went LOW CARB for one week (well, actually 6 days) I tried to keep my carb level at 30g. That's kinda tough, and you have to plan ahead - BUT it was enough of a shock to my system to move that puppy!! A LOW CARB plan is no way to live, but sometimes, we just have to trick our bodies! I can also see how someone can turn vegetarian! The store has an abundance of fruit and veggies...The farmers market...MY BACK YARD!! (I'm getting raspberries!!) So, a change - of some sort - may just DO THE TRICK!

You have come a long way, my friend - Keep your chin up and laugh at life, because it's really not worth being stressed out over!
