There is a topped off evergreen a few houses down from my brother's house, with nesting eagles. They come every year and renovate this huge nest, and have two eggs. By the time I come visit, there are two huge black eagle babies who are larger than their parents.
I always look at the nest when I go out for my walk. Usually one or two of the family are sitting on the edge of the nest, babies squawking for food or parents taking off to collect something.
Today, one parent was soaring along the trail I was walking - huge bald eagle flying in circles, going higher and higher, enjoying the mild air and warm rain of summer. I walked about 1.5 miles down the trail, turned around, came back, and there is Mr or Mrs Eagle flying around above the golf course. Huge magnificent bird dominating the sky.
Makes it worth getting out there and walking in the rain, just to see these birds!!!!!!
