You Live, You Learn!

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

Today was a difficult food choice day. I thought I was making a good choice when I made a homemade soup (which was super delicious), but I wasn't aware that it had so many calories and sodium in it. Thanks to the recipe calculator I now know that my "healthy recipe" isn't a healthy as I once thought it was. I guess that is what is about, learning to make good choices from bad mistakes and changing future behavior. But on the bright side it was jam packet with vitamins and I suppose it is better than eating a bag of chips or wasting my calories on soda.

Oh, I also bought a pedometer online today. I'm very excited about it. It comes with health management software so i can keep track of my progress for each day. Plus I don't normally wear belts and this particular pedometer can be put in a pocket which will be much more convenient for me. Also, I'm a waitress and I don't want others to see me wearing a pedometer so the pocket factor is great for the sake of confidentiality.

Even with that soup I'm still in my calorie range. So I'm off to drink a couple more cups of water to meet my goal for the day!
