Today was a difficult food choice day. I thought I was making a good choice when I made a homemade soup (which was super delicious), but I wasn't aware that it had so many calories and sodium in it. Thanks to the recipe calculator I now know that my "healthy recipe" isn't a healthy as I once thought it was. I guess that is what sparkpeople.com is about, learning to make good choices from bad mistakes and changing future behavior. But on the bright side it was jam packet with vitamins and I suppose it is better than eating a bag of chips or wasting my calories on soda.
Oh, I also bought a pedometer online today. I'm very excited about it. It comes with health management software so i can keep track of my progress for each day. Plus I don't normally wear belts and this particular pedometer can be put in a pocket which will be much more convenient for me. Also, I'm a waitress and I don't want others to see me wearing a pedometer so the pocket factor is great for the sake of confidentiality.
Even with that soup I'm still in my calorie range. So I'm off to drink a couple more cups of water to meet my goal for the day!
