Gaining balance and strength

Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Yesterday I figured out why the speed on my speedometer was wrong. It wasn't. It was just in kpm rather than mph. Duh! I changed it & it's fine. I did HIIT to TJs and then a leisurely ride home.

Today I did lower body work and am very pleased with how things are going. I feel far more in control on the step-ups and dead lifts (form is much better) and squats are great. I'm getting all the way down to parallel on both legs for the one-legged squats, and I did two sets of two-legged on the BOSU. I felt so confident after the first set that I used the body bar on the second. nly 6 lbs, but still, it meant my hands/arms were occupied with the bar rather than counterbalancing. Go me!

One-legged squats (Foot on ball) 12x0 10x0
Two-legged squats on BPOSU 15x0 10x6
One legged SLDL 10x22 7x22 8x22
Step-ups 10x8 10x8 10x8 (try bodybar next week 18lbs maybe)
Lunges 8x8 8x8 8x8
Reverse crunches 15, 15 (l/r) 15

swimming 4 laps
