Wednesday and what to eat

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Still doing my Health first but have to admit having a very hard time thinking of things to eat. I just don't know what to have. Find I think I will have this or that, then oh but that uses up a starch or milk, what if I want it later. YEA I know make a weekly menu. Ironically I find this so very very hard to do and keep with. Even though I had to do it for clients when I worked, here it doesn't seem to work for us. So grocery flyers come out today, and I will check and see whats for sale.... that I can eat. I am having a problem having only chicken and fish most times. Oh well at least I am thankful I have food in the house! LOL

Off to find some breakfast. was going to have eggs, but at 3 a week, I have to budget and find I still get very hungry if I don't eat enough at a time.

I have a menu in mind on Friday for the whole week, shop for it but have extra salad and some staple "must haves" in the cupboard to change things up.
I keep rice to have when potatoes get boring or whole wheat pasta and knock up a sauce to go with it plus a salad,
Or wraps instead of bread for sandwiches- they keep well in the fridge.
And loads of fruit to have on it's own or to top salads; mango goes well with seafood and apple and nuts go well with feta.
If you stock up on basics Cinders you can mix and match! emoticon

I wish I could plan meals but I don't do well with it either. When I do the day will come and I won't want what I have planned or not have the energy to make it. It's a great idea for some people who aren't picky and who have a fixed schedule but my life is usually not like that. I love fish but am not crazy about chicken and don't want it more than once a week usually.
