Some tips that might help you

Monday, August 25, 2014

I learned some tips that you can't find online. Some of them I learned by accident or learned from other people.

1. When on your period, drink cranberry juice. Treat your period like a bladder infection. It helps shorten your period. Mine lasts about 3 or 4 days when I drink cranberry juice. Sometimes I'll add some of the water I have in my water bottle. It kind of flavors the water and you can get you water in at the same time.

2. Don't drink soda while on your period. It makes it last longer and the flow heavier. When I did drink soda while on my period, it lasts over a week. But when I didn't drink soda, it would be a normal period. For years I would try to figure out why my periods would last forever and one time I quit drinking soda and my periods got better. Plus the cramps would go away.

3. Drink hot tea when your sore. Take your over the counter pain medicine and drink a cup of hot tea in whatever flavor you like. It doesn't matter who you are, drink it. And depending on how much pain you're in, it'll depend on how many cups you have drink. I had a sore back this morning and I had a cup of organic tropical hibiscus and my sore back was gone and I didn't even take any over the counter pain medicine.

4. If you knit or crochet and have headaches, try making something no matter the size. Take something for the headache and then work on whatever you're making. A little over 3 years ago (a few months before my brother in Ohio got married) I was working on a leftover yarn afghan and I had to work on it pretty much all night because of a headache. It helps keep your mind of the pain of the headache. And if you have any other pain in your body that doesn't affect your hands, try knitting or crocheting. It'll help keep your mind off of that too.
