Me and Gravity!

Monday, August 25, 2014

2012 was the year my husband broke his neck - in November - so it heavily affected 2013.
2014 was the year I was walking along with a friend - I was on my way to lunch and bam, I did a major trip off of my dansko clog shoes and rolled over my ankle big time. My first thought was oh-no - I am going to New Orleans with my husband in February, I can't have hurt my ankle/foot. I tried to just shake it off and continued walking the two blocks to the eating establishment. Long story shortened - I broke my left foot. I had it immobilized for 3 months - two casts and a boot, a knee scooter and much of the time was to be non-weight bearing. I had physical therapy afterwards. I had enjoyed a family trip Honolulu in December - such fun!!! and then went to New Orleans with my husband in February regardless that I was not fully mobile. I could eat just fine. Food/Drink and New Orleans - a great combination. Pralines - I discovered pralines. And the best bloody mary I have ever had. Sadly - I had a hard time equaling my calorie output to my calorie input. My weight recently was 229! YIKES.
