Rules I live by

Back in 2006 when I started this journey I decided I had to set up some rules to follow to help me reach my goals....I talked with a lot of people and read endless articles and blogs to see what really worked and what did not work....after about 2 years of trying things I cam to the conclusion that some things worked for while and some did not...this journey is about living a healthy life style....that this was not going to be just another diet or some thing to do till I got the weight off and then look out....
so this is the list of things I live by...I did not come up with this all in a few days or month s..it has been years..and I am still learning about myself , my needs and my desires....and each day can be a bit different, so I try and be flexible, I try to honest with myself, I try to be my own best friend...mostly I try to be happy...

here is my list....

NO FAST FOODS.....I know it seems extreme but I have not had any fast foods since 2006...so it is possible..if I want fries, I make over fries..so yummy and so much better for me..

I NEVER DRINK MY CALORIES...IT's water or plain green tea...this is not hard for me, I stopped drinking soda of any kind back in 1986...

I EXERCISE 6 DAYS A WEEK AND SOME TIME 7....IT HAS BECOME MY DAILY HABIT AND I FEEL WEIRD IF I DON'T AT LEAST GO FOR A WALK

I EAT 6-7 MINI MEALS A DAY...I AM NEVER TOO FULL OR TOO HUNGRY...

I EAT AT LEAST 10-12 SERVINGS OF VEGGIES A DAY..THIS HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST YEAR...I DO LOVE VEGGIES

I WATCH PORTIONS...I HAVE LEARNED TO EAT VERY SMALL PORTIONS OF THE HIGH CAL FOODS I LOVE...

I TRACK MY CALORIES

I PLAN MY MEALS..MOSTLY I PLAN MY SNACKS OR TREATS...I AM A TREATS EATER SORT OF PERSON ...THAT HAS NOT CHANGED..BUT NOW I WATCH HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN...ONLY 2 TREATS A DAY AND ONLY 200-300 CAL. FOR BOTH TREATS...YEP IT CAN BE DONE

I USE A SCALE, IT KEEPS ME HONEST...

I ASK MY HUSBAND FOR HELP, HE HELPS ME BE HONEST WITH MYSELF...HE ALSO HAS AGREED TO GIVE ME ATTENTION WHEN EVER I NEED IT...MOSTLY A HUG WHEN I AM STRESSED, SCARED, NERVOUS OR LONELY....OR JUST IN NEED OF A HUG

I TRY AND GET AT LEAST 7 HOURS OF SLEEP

I HAVE LEARNED TO LOVE MYSELF NO MATTER WHAT

WELL THAT IS MY LIST....
