4 months.

4 months ago I decided that my downward spiral had to end and I was not going to be that person that gained all the weight back. I stopped myself and began again. I was back up to 345, from 309. Now 309 is still a big chunk of change. 414 is where I began. I am glad to say that I am back on the right path. Now, don't get me wrong, there are potholes in my road. For instance I can not live my life without pizza, or red hot chips or the occasional soda. Now I just know what it takes to work it all back off again so my choices are not pizza, chips and soda EVERY DAY.

4 months and I am down 33 pounds. Not as great as I wanted but realistically because of the potholes, I am happy with it.

Some of you know that my son is in the Army. They have wanted to ship him out a few times to different places but fortunately he didn't end up going...until now. He is someplace that I have been sworn to secrecy in saying where, but it's the worst place you'd want your kids to go believe me. Say a prayer please for his, and all his battle buddies safe return. Im not sure what this mission entails or what they will encounter. Hopefully just lots and lots of sand.

The last time I saw him was a little over 4 months ago and I have been telling him he better stay in shape because I am in training and we are going to do a 5K. I have not told him I have lost 33 pounds and I dont plan to. I will just continue until I see him again and surprise him. I figure he's doing what he has to so doing what I have to on a treadmill in the safety of my own home is nothing.

Great job losing 33 pounds! One of my brothers is in the Army, and it's stressful when he is deployed. I like the idea of not telling him you are losing weight, so that you can surprise him.
