Well, 8 out of the 13 people I challenged have done or are doing the challenge, which means at least $80 donated to ALS, wait, I take that back, 2 are donating the money, so that's $60 for doing the challenge, and $200 for only donating, so a total of $260. YAY!!
I had one real time friend who posted a link to a place of a guy who wrote a column complaining about the IBC (Ice Bucket Challenge); saying instead of doing it they should just donate the money, blah blah blah, all negative and she agreed, I was shocked!
nm, I'll repost what was said after her link:
Sherry Kuelz: but it's been so much more fun to do the dumping AND give the money!! That's the idea behind it, you either dump the ice and give $10, or don't do the challenge and donate $100. Either way a donation is given, PLUS it's FUN for so many of us who've done it!! (he has the information totally wrong in that article.)

Fran Peyer: Wasting water was another complaint in the media.

Sherry Kuelz: really? I've not seen that, but, hey, if you don't want to do it, Fran, I just figured you loved having fun and helping others, so I'd add you, I'll remove your name. (btw, my sister in law used water from the river and I used ice and water from the pool no wasting there) Sorry I tagged you.

Fran Peyer: No problem
I thought "really, wasting water, give me a break, you use ice cubes & water, yes, but still..it's not that much water, and it raises awareness for this horrible disease PLUS has raised millions more than last year when nothing was done, for ALS research.
I guess I just saw her in the wrong way after all these 20+ years, how sad. Won't be asking her to help with anything anymore. Cannot believe people can be like that, she could have just politely said I really don't want to do that, instead of posting a rude link like that, should I have felt insulted? Maybe not, I don't know, but I did.
Anyway, enough of that, I guess some are givers and others aren't, I'm proud to be a giver, to help others, and that's just me.
Have a great day, everyone.
