Wonderful time in Quebec

Monday, August 18, 2014

Finally got the blog to post - it's full of photos so I won't post anything here. (We're on the train from Quebec to Montreal and then on to New York City - how wonderful to have wifi while on the train!)

Anyway, we had a fabulous time in Quebec - I exercised my brain by dredging up my 40+ yr old French, we exercised our bodies by walking somewhere between 3 and 6 miles every day, and we both had fun trying various new French foods.

Quebec is probably gorgeous any time of year, but the summer features flowers everywhere - so I absolutely recommend this time of year for a visit.

C'est tres beau!!!!!

YOU MEAN THE GRINCH AND THE PEOPLE OF WHOVILLE...

AWESOME PHOTOS, AND VERY INTERESTING STORYLINE. You know how to write!!!

Hopefully your recommendations to the President of Canada Railroad would be heard. Did you mention the lack of Wi-Fi in the train Vancouver-Toronto?

Great experience yours. Greetings! emoticon

Love that you are having such a wonderful time .. I would have loved to have gone to Canada and the USA ..but it was not to be ..
I did get to see Australia with my darling before he passed .. It was the greatest gift Colin could have given me ..
We spent many years on the Wallaby .. (This expression is what the Aussies use for travelling this massive island country )
The diversity is amazing .. I know you too spent many months here, and I hope you have many wonderful memories ..
Hugs and Love Susie xxx emoticon

Such a gorgeous city! haha, I live close enough to Canada that I'm used to pronouncing it "keh-BECK." Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

So very happy that you liked Quebec!! One of my very fave places in the world . . . and definitely trying to speak a bit of French evokes the best possible kind of response from the locals who appreciate the courtesy. The architecture is so interesting but also just the joie de vivre!!

(And how marvellous you got a chance to pass on your excellent suggestions to the head train honcho!!)
