Steady On!!!

Sunday, August 17, 2014

Still holding strong on food journal and eating & walking plan. I went to my Grandson's house for dinner tonight. He made a skinny version of Spaghetti Carbonara that was awesome. I was very careful of portion size (having extra vegetables on the side) and I even had enough calories left to have a small piece of Chocolate Cherry Cake for dessert. It is so liberating to lose the guilt from over-eating.

I have raised my goal for steps walked per day (just a little) and have managed to meet it every day so I feel really good about that. I still have a lot of swelling in the leg so prop it up and use ice several times a day but feel like it's getting easier and much less painful to walk so am really making progress.

I am truly back on track right now and am so proud! Again, I thank all my Spark Friends for their support and encouragement and am so glad to have all the Spark resources to lean on for ideas to help my progress.

It's so great your Grandson is supporting you by cooking things that work for your plan. Is he Sparking with you? I am feeling the same way as you, watching what I eat and track very carefully so I can have a little treat every once in a while and not feel deprived. Keep up the good work!! emoticon
