Did that weasel make me fall?

Sunday, August 17, 2014

Waited out the rain this morning and finally got to go bike riding with DH around 10:30. We made really good time too. Didn't see too many other people on the trail until about 8 miles out. It had stopped misting by then and Wow the bikers and walkers were just streaming onto the trail. The weather was perfect for biking - not too cool, not too warm. I had on a sweatshirt jacket over a tank which I didn't take off until 3/4 done with our 20 mile ride.

We were about 2 miles from the end when DH spotted a dead weasel on the side. I had seen one a week ago, a baby, this one today was a full grown adult. So I wanted to stop and take a photo. In my haste I managed to fall off my bike. Yep, you would think I would know better. Wham down I went hard on my backside while trying to brace myself with my left hand. Luckily I was only scraped up a bit but my tush is hurting now and my hand hurts a lot. I scraped the heel of my left hand and my elbow quite a bit, just enough to make using them painful, very little blood. I have tried to upload the photo but SP keeps saying it is too large. The weasel is about 6-8 inches long. Maybe tomorrow it will work for me.

Wow! Glad that fall wasn't any worse. Wish it would rain here. My flowers are all dying. I need to be better at watering them. I keep putting it off thinking it might rain but then it doesn't.
