Friday, August 15, 2014

I have had the Mirena IUD for about 8 years and haven't had a period this whole time. I asked my health care provider how would I know if I was going through menopause. She said when I have it taken out in 2 years. If I got my period back that I would mean no and if I didn't I would mostly likely be in menopause.

I don't know if it's the weather or medical, but I have periods that I start sweating for no reason. It is getting so annoying. I can't stand the heat and sweating on top of that.

My mom probably wouldn't remember how old she was. One of my nieces who is a few months older than me, is going through it now. I will have to ask my sisters how old they were.

Usually you start around 51 and some even go later. I had mine over by 51 and my neighbor that is down the street and about 59 or later just went through hers. So it all depends on when you mom went through it. There is a test that will tell you if you are in it and I don't know what it is called but they did it for me and I have been told by other people that they don't have that type of test but I know that they did it for me and I got mine done by the military,.
