To clarify yesterday's blog, I have an incredible anti-virus program. I have my pop-up blocker on. I've contacted the SP Help Desk (btw, in order to do this, you have to watch yet another ad! Can you believe it?). This is the only site I'm having trouble with. Today, the Teavana ad is even more constant, with an additional headache - it opens by itself. I can't use SP like this and am trying to hang in here to get it resolved.

A few blogs ago, I talked about my friend and his skin with the severe burning sensation all over his body. And that his doc would only treat him with a prescription for anti-anxiety drugs. Well, it almost cost me the friendship by keeping at him, but he finally persisted with this HMO doc who is reluctantly giving him a referral to a neurologist. Hooray, hooray as my friend was not going to go to yet another doc. But it is so severe now that he can hardly get through his day.

Can you believe that Labor Day is two weeks away? WOW!

Have a happy, healthy day, friends.

(P.S. You guys and gals are the bestest. Just installed adblocker, so we'll see. It wasn't just annoying, it was obstructing usage.)

Yeah the ads are getting out of control- getting to where you can read an article without being forced to watch a video ad. i understand these people need to make money- but places like Facebook are getting way to invasive. I had to log off of that negative site.

Oh my gosh that is the most annoying thing ever! I know you have anti-virus and an adblocker, but have you considered ditching whatever browser you're using and downloading another? I have trouble with Firefox, so I use Chrome and love it :)

I'm glad you pushed with the friend - anti-anxiety pills my **s.

Love my ad blocker! I would have left SP without it. Ads are one thing, but obtrusive ads that make the programs difficult if not impossible to use are another thing altogether.

I understand your frustration with the popups, and I don't like them either. Praise the Lord, they're not affecting me and doing to me, what they're doing to you! I'm so sorry that it's even worse, as it makes no sense!

I'm delighted that you didn't lose your friendship, by trying to help him! I'm also delighted that he's listening to you and seeking out a neurologist for clarification.

YEP, it is just two weeks away! This year has FLOWN BY!

You need an ad-blocker as well as a pop-up blocker. I seldom have any problems now that I have both. I use thunderbird and firefox.

You have to install an ad-block on your browser. It's an add-on, an app, that you can download for free, different from your pop-up blocker. I haven't seen an internet ad in a decade.

I wonder what in the heck is going on with the ads. I sure hope you are able to get it resolved. I would hate for you to go. I saw that other people posted what kind of browser they use. I use chrome and don't have problems. (I love my chromebook!)

Anyway, I hope your friend is able to find some relief. That sounds horrible.
