Sunday, August 10, 2014 in and scratching the mosquito bites

Now I'm off to buy some citronella candles for the bedroom at night to prevent more of the same!

Eta: cute internet random kitty scratching its chin picture removed b/c it was getting more sympathy than me, the actual victim of the unprovoked mosquito blitzkrieg emoticon

Someone told me that putting softener sheets for the dryer in your pockets repels the little blood suckers...I haven't tried it but it might work! emoticon I hate those mighty mites...we have chiggers here...we call them flying bicuspids..nasty nasty little devils! emoticon emoticon

Got any aloe? (Also, I've found that most topical itch compounds have menthol as their active ingredient, so if you can find variations of Gold Bond lotion, they will work wonders)

Vinegar helps the itch. Takes it right out. Good luck with the skeeters!

emoticon They can be voracious! I've found that hand sanitizer actually helps the itch be less itchy. :)

emoticon Hope the itch is better now. A little white toothpaste on the bite is supposed to help keep it from itching so much. I haven't tried it but others swear by it.

Lol, sorry for the confusion. The skeeter bites are mine, I went looking for a picture that captured the feeling of scratching an itch. It's a cute cat but not mine.
