Before and after or a matter of trust

Saturday, August 09, 2014

My DW was getting fed up with her hair, it is long and thick and too hot for the summer. She wears it up in a bun, but it is heavy enough that it hurts her neck sometimes. A few times she has told me to chop it off, and finally she was fed up enough that she let me do it.

Here is before:

And here is after:

Not too bad, I think she is happy with how it came out too. (Although she almost stared crying when I cut through the pony tail!). Glad that she trusted me with!

My efforts to refocus by cutting down on snacks and quitting after dinner snacking and beverages is working. On the verge of getting back into the 180s again. Will continue until I get back to the lower end of my maintenance range, about 180 or so.

Wonderful haircut--it shows more of her lovely face ;-). And she *is* pretty brave to trust with the scissors, lol. Glad to hear about the snack issue--have been working on mine, too. It's definitely a work in progress!

It looks great and the best thing about hair is it grows! My 9 year old granddaughter just just cut her hair and donated it. She did cry, as it was shorter than she thought, but still longer than your wife's hair cut.

I really like it! She has such a pretty face and I love her waves.
Do you have experience with cutting hair? You did an awesome job!

Congratulations on maintaining! I know you work hard for it. You have a lot of will power, being the great baker that you are!

That was definitely brave of your wife to let you cut her hair! I'm glad you're making progress on the snacks - that is always a problem with me also.

It's not everyone's wife that will trust their husband with a pair of scissors. It's a testament to the two of you. Way to go you two!

Oops! Not sure how my ipad flipped the second photo. Not quite sure how to fix it without getting on the computer.
