Keeping busy

I ate almost that whole watermelon by myself. I love this time of year so much good fruit in season. The white nectarines are soooo good and so cheap right now YUM! I broke 200 on the home scale this morning which is not terrible considering I broke it on the doctor scale almost 4 weeks ago and little dude is 2 lbs or close to it this week. Been staying away from meat which seems to be helping. When I start eating it, I feel like an avalanche of fatty food starts becoming my craving. Funny my friend who is pregnant with her 4th, her 3 other kids are boys. She craved steak and burgers with all of them. Now pregnant with a girl, the thought of red meat makes her nauseated.

I started pricing doula's this week. In my area they run between 350-700. I donno how I can justify that on how much I am making. I feel like I should pay for it myself. Scott told his coworker I was thinking of getting one and her response was "Wow Julie must really not trust u". Really? Coming from someone who scheduled her first c-section without even attempting to go into labor? Any idea what a doula even does before you make my husband feel kicked down and look like an a$$hole.

I hit my dance class this morning. Steps have been much better this week. Having a spurt of energy this week I guess. Gotta take it when I can get it. I went and checked out the synagogue last week for the baby shower. Sadly it was much less impressive inside than outside. It seemed like it was gutted and made into a church over the years. Simpler that way, just gotta find a place for the dogs to go for the day.

Aww that's terrible that woman said that to Scott. It has nothing to do with trust. Laboring is a huge emotional toll for one person to handle. I could see it with Bryan. He was under as much pressure as i was because I relied solely on him. If you find a doula you are comfortable with I think it would be a tremendous help. Most of the nurses I had didn't help me through the labor like I thought they would. Maybe it will be different in BN. You will still need Scott so much and I am sure he knows that :-). Hehe, maybe boys crave iron. I really craved spinach which like meat has lots of iron. Course I ended up being anemic so maybe that is why I craved it too, lol.

Maybe you can do a kickstarter to raise money for the doula.

I love watermelon too! Sadly I tripped and fell running on Sunday and broke a bone in my hand, so its in a cast. I can do a lot with one whole hand and a thumb and 2 fingers on the other, but haven't attempted cutting a watermelon yet, nor convinced the wife to. A week without watermelon, oh my!:)

I couldn't even stand to hear the word hamburger when I was pregnant. I would throw up thinking about it. And I had a boy! LOL! I ate no beef while pregnant.

Great picture!! I love the new vibrams!!
