I'm working on getting that extra hour per day. I refined my number of trips to the gym to what really matters: personal training, body combat, zumba, and swimming. Training and use of the pool really motivated me to go to the gym.
I took cycling off my gym plan. I have a spin bike at home to use. I use Pandora with an upbeat station. I keep pedaling away. Sometimes I use my DVD spinning classes or rides for variety. Hence I save 40 minutes driving back and forth to the gym.
I am cooking two meals at a time and freezing one of them. I went back to my favorite 100 meals to make.
I also studied how much I volunteer. I end my term as president on 12/30/14. I will still help out, but will be selective in what I do. I can do the newsletter at home.
I have a housekeeper once a week as I have limited use of my hands due to RA. I value her time. I also try to decrease clutter a little bit each week.
I have lists for the grocery store and farmers' market. I can do when it is best for us. I try at 8 am to 10 am on a Monday or Tuesday for the grocery store and Thurs and Sat for the market. These places are 1 block from my home. Hence I can have fresh produce and fish.
