Out of comfort zone
Monday, August 04, 2014
I got a lot done this morning. I stepped out of my comfort zone and went to a dance class with a teacher I didn't care for. 9 am dance class left me the youngest person in class by 30 yrs besides the teacher. I am happy I went, needed the exercise and it was a good workout.
Then I came home and walked the dogs before the temps broke 80. Called my mom and amazingly she did not mention baby names. I was ready and willing to tell her that I love her but what I name my baby is none of your business and since you have tried making it your business, you will find out his name when he's born, the end! Not gonna let the naming of OUR child be anyone's business other than our own.
I cut up a watermelon I have been dreading cutting for a week. I would rather buy a half of one than be plagued by it. But I bought a whole one. The turtles always enjoy the feast of the ends. Fed the reptiles and cleaned out the bird cages! It was a productive morning!
Scott has been super sweet and helpful lately. Last week at the family reunion one of his distant cousins was the youngest one there, 9. She kept trying to get the courage to come to our table and ask him to play tag with her. When she finally did, he played with her for 2.5 hours and soaked his shirt from running. I asked if he wished we were having a girl instead. "No girls make up too many rules". Last Sunday he found me a new laptop online and set it up this week just perfect like my old one. Thank goodness for a techy husband considering I am clueless.
My sunflower garden has started popping finally. I am most excited about my Moulin Rouge variety, I saw some in a yard last year. They are about 6-7 ft tall
This one is called Vanilla ice, came out much shorter then it said. Probably only 1-2 ft tall, and much more yellow.
Autumn Beauty, I did this one last yr.
There is probably 2-3 other varieties that have yet to open. I can't wait! It's like trying not to open a present.
